PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Michael Ledo A contact lens allows people to broadcast their life live for viewers and sponsors. Wyatt (Taylor Handley) broadcasts his life as a stolen car racer with a hot girlfriend (Kate French). He is pursued and dies in an auto accident. His military brother Jonah (Dominic DeVore) returns home to avenge his death by pretending to be his brother, broadcasting illegal activity to gain an audience. The film is for people who feel they are so important that the world wants to know every time they go out an eat a cheeseburger and they do. The production had a lot of "eye cam" first person viewing, but it wasn't exclusive, so the film wasn't as idiotic as "Hardcore Henry." The final conflict was very anti-climatic.Guide: F-word. Brief sex and nudity.
Leofwine_draca I watched this on television under the title DE@TH ON LIVE. It's a broad satire of social media and reality television, set in a futuristic society in which every person now wears cameras concealed in contact lenses and many people's lives are broadcast online for the entertainment of the masses. It's an interesting subject matter, but one that never really gels. This film features various diverse sub-plots that never really go anywhere. One girl's private life is constantly being spied upon while a former soldier investigates his brother's mysterious death and discovers it was broadcast online. The film flirts with a few first-person sequences and has a good opening car chase, but the mix of middling, unknown actors and confused plotting make the whole thing a real chore.
heidivl Got a chance to see this movie before it even came out…I just get lucky like that sometimes…Such a blast of a film, really. So topical and dead on. There are not only truly cool tech elements that keep you guessing, and wondering how close we are to living like this…but also really well-directed chase scenes and of course a little bit of hotness thrown in. Moments of well-written darkness while also a high octane popcorn movie. A really good look at what we're heading for with our selfie-generation and tech savvy kids. The ideas behind this film are both fascinating and frightening.Fast and fun and edgy…and definitely worth at LEAST 1 watch!
Tokiwood I've seen this movie at Fantaspoa festival in Porto Alegre in Brasil. I didn't know anything about it and I was more than pleasantly surprised.Very interesting and visionary premise about a new social network, in very close future, about live streaming videos of people's lives. They have contact lenses camera that shows everything people see. A rebel streamer is killed and his brother takes over his avatar in order to find the killers.A lot of car chases, very well executed, a lot of exciting scenes. The cast is very interesting. They all have some 60s look and reminded me of Steve McQueen movies and James Dean. But it's very modern in ideas and style. Main actress - Kate French - is awesome. Would like to see more stuff with her. Beautifully shot, well directed, good writing, visionary ideas, exciting chases, interesting characters. Subplot with sister is a nice addition to the universe of future that is around the corner. It makes you think... I was missing a spectacular car chase climax, but I feel that the director wanted to make it more personal and direct closure. Check it out!
