Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
setabs-669-175389 Neither this nor Skyline are high art but enjoyable B grade sci fi action flicks, i enjoyed Beyond more than the 1st one and would certainly be up for a 3rd outing, stock up the popcorn turn off the brain for an hour or two and forget about the world.Good stuff
iainrb Absolutely ghastly movie.Far from the art house talents of Amenabar ,Cocteau, Godard, Ichikawa and Nechayev as you can get. A movie for the intellectual dullards of modern society with no redeeming features whatsoever .Like so many critics I have avoided watching it thus far in order to commemt on its awfulness from a position of lofty disdain for populist entertainment.
lotheravanti So bad it's good. This normally would have been a terrible movie, but they just kept changing things up in interesting ways that made me like it. Bad movies would have just stuck to the tried and true formula. Here, we end up in Lao. Just because. We have a final kung-fu sequence kicking alien ass. Just because. So bad, it's good.
paulclaassen There can be no denying this is a brilliant sci-fi production, and probably a lucrative franchise in the making. This is non-stop action and excitement from the beginning, and some scenes will no doubt leave you breathless. The visuals are fantastic, considering the small budget. Liam O'Donnell once again proves Hollywood does not have to fork out hundreds of millions of dollars to make good sci-fi films. So well done, Liam!I must admit, though, although I thoroughly enjoyed this installment, I did enjoy the first one more, but on a completely different level. 'Skyline' was more realistic and therefore more suspenseful and mysterious. 'Beyond Skyline' was pure sci-fi and concentrated more on the aliens and the alien ships, continuing the saga from where the first film ended. The ending screams for a sequel and to be quite honest, I can't wait to see the continuation of this great new franchise.Frank Grillo makes a really credible hero, so I hope to see him in the sequels.
