Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
SceneByScene As a fan of 'Charmed', I was looking forward to this movie of 2001. Having seen Shannen Doherty in other TV films, I think she can hold the lead role in a film as well as she does her character in the 'Charmed' TV series. But sadly, this particular movie was not worth the wait. There were too many slow-moving elegiac scenes of rivers and skies, and not enough momentum in the story. I feel I wasted 2 hours of my life watching this film, when in fact the movie could easily have been cut by half an hour. A bit of tightening of the script, cutting irrelevant scenes, and building up the back-story of the characters, all might have done the trick. As it was, the script was poor, the tone of the film was wishy-washy, the plot lacked structure, and the characters had no depth. Shannen Doherty was totally wasted.I love Julian McMahon, but he was also wasted as an actor; though he did look delicious, which at least gave the film a little enjoyment! The movie was clearly just a vehicle for the two actors, fresh from 'Charmed'. But the script/director/production relied upon that factor to keep the viewers entranced. In fact viewers need a little more 'oomph' to a film, to keep us truly interested in the plot, than just a pretty couple wandering about in lovely scenery .Only if you want to see McMahon & Doherty at the height of their 'Charmed' fame - for a pretty-pretty sight! - should you bother with this sadly disappointing film.~ by SceneByScene ~
whpratt1 Any film that Shannen Doherty appears in usually is outstanding, and she gave a fantastic job of acting through out the entire picture. Doherty played the part of Kate, who lived with a guy named Paul and was deeply in love with him. There is an accident which occurs to Kate and from then on the entire picture is made up of constant flashbacks, almost to the very end of the picture. There was a point during the picture that I was beginning to feel like the story was repeating itself over and over again. As the story unfolded, it became quite an interesting story, but WAY OUT in Left Field. The romance that Kate has with two guys is quite interesting and Kate sure looked hot and sexy attracting for the poor two guys.
Kerryanne Jacobsen Okezie Another Day - this movie requires you to watch it another day to understand it. I thoroughly enjoy watching Shannen Doherty and I was quite interesting in seeing how well Julian McMahon and Shannen appeared together following the roles they played in Charmed. I can certainly PRAISE the acting skills throughout the film, even the directing - but the plot...what happened? I am at a loss for words because I am still confused. I have to stay loyal to the actors who really did a good job considering the madness of the plot. I also have to recommend you watch it because despite the plot-madness I would still watch it over and over again.
stevecharming I have just watched Another day and thought it was great i thought Shannen Doherty and Julian McMahon were both incredible. Shannen is one of the most talented actresses i've seen in a long while, she made this film what it is. Altough it was hard to understand i understood what was going on nearer to the end, also Shannen is great at what she does and i don't understand why she hasn't hit our cinema screens with a great movie altough i can say with all my heart Charmed hasn't been the same since she departed. We miss you Shannen, best of luck. Steve
