Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Spidersecu Don't Believe the Hype
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
bryan-14498 I have, with the help of a lot of substance, put myself through a plethora of movies from "The Asylum". I have put up with reused sets, terrible oversights, movies where the helicopter changes four or five times, horrendous CGI, and characters who are privates but referred to as "sir".This movie is worse than all of those. The oversights on this are hilarious. These navy guys are wearing multiple types of camouflage, the officers have over sized jackets with no name tags. The guards have M4 rifles with NO REAR SIGHTS. THATS USEFUL. The arc is powered by old GE turbine engines. The DNA specimens are held in WATER BOTTLES of all things. There is 0 story, the movie just starts with a flood beginning. The woman is a navy seal. Guess what? The SEALs don't have women. The patented CGI with a storm, but nobody is wet and the background is sunny Santa Monica weather. Kill me.
Prismark10 Bad script, bad acting, atrocious special effects. It can only be an Asylum film homage destined for the ScFy channel. When a massive tectonic shift triggers a tsunami capable of destroying the world the US military creates special Arks capable of holding up to 50,000 people and the DNA of every species possible while the storm consumes most of the world.A microbiologist tries to obtain the various DNA needed but unsure whether its moth or bee DNA that is more important. The film is a rip off of 2012 but the filmmakers also probably anticipated the Russell Crowe starring vehicle Noah that was due out in 2013 as well. You have ridiculous scenes where the scientist accompanied by a tough female soldier (without any apparent weapons and armour) encounter some hillbillies who only have rape on their mind even though the world is to end.You have boring action scenes but all you see is poor CGI and bad model work with interior shots of actors in the ark. The story is nonsensical as if the writers were making it up as the film went along. On the plus point, Christianna Carmine who played the very unmuscular tough soldier with rather heavy make up looked very nice which is worth an extra point.
gatorsoft If you are desperate/ bored/high enough to watch this movie, try this little game: Count how many times the phrase "let's go!" is heard in the film. I swear some characters say it 5 times in a 60 second clip.It really is like someone set out to make a film that was bad in every way possible. If you can appreciate the sheer absurdity of its badness, then you might enjoy it. On the other hand, if that's what you're looking for, I would say Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a better choice. This movie is kinda of like an aquatic Damnation Alley, but much worse than that bomb.It would have been fun to be in the screening room the first time that it was shown to investors. I would guess that the producers had a metal detector to go through before entering the screening room to insure none of the backers were armed. The black, gray, and blue camouflage is kinda cool looking though. Disclaimer: I've never produced a movie, and if I attempted to do so, it would probably be even worse than this one. I hope that I would have the sense to never let anyone see something so bad.
Erik Luna OK, so 1st off. The head of the costume department should have gone to a thrift store. The military uniforms are plain awful. In terms others who have been in the military will understand they are totally A.T.F.U.I have seen better acting from a McDonalds manager apologizing for an incorrect order. The saving grace of this movie is that there is no real questionable material. No cursing, sexual scenes (ok, one make-out session but only kissing) no graphic violence. Maybe a child could watch this and not see how bad he SFX and acting is.The only thing that I enjoyed about this movie was the end. No, not the *not a spoiler alert folks* culmination of the story where the hero saves the day or fails and all is lost. But THE END. When the movie was over.
