Reviews

Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
Adeel Hail Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
rramjet-96920 Sometimes (like with Roy Moore), he doesn't really get what (I think) he wants, which is generally for his subjects to reveal their "true" biases. But when it works, it is devastating in showing how many Americans have fallen victim to absurd conspiracy theories (in case of the Right), or left-wing dogma. It can be very funny, although as one critic has pointed out, it can also be very frightening, as some of his subjects are politicians who can actually make policy based on their deplorable beliefs.
thedoc46 There have been some clips, like the mariachi one, i was sat in a coffee shop on my own with my iPad watching this though headphones, and i couldn't contain my hysterical laughter. They must of thought WTF is this guy drinking.. I WANT SOME ! I really enjoy Sacha's work. But this has to be his best. Embarrassed for those duped, embarrassed to share the same specie you dumb buffoons. Really ? Pull your pants down and charge into a pad. Dress up as a princess to catch an illegal.. oh my.
Mike Bluett I can't see how anyone would find this kind of programming funny!! It is absolute junk!!!
Arch I am a fan of Baron Cohen; I loved loved Ali G, loved Borat, liked Bruno and enjoyed some of the movies he has been in. There are some very funny moments in this series, but too many flat and nasty ones too. My main complaint is the singularity of perspective; even the far-left character is really just a foil to try and 'expose' conservatives. I wish there was a balance to the mockery, which would make it feel cleverer and less like partisan political trolling. As it is, the show has mined a few retired Republicans and a bunch of weird paranoid right-wingers to paint a cliched picture of Trump's America, which ignores the facistic tendancies and behaviour of the far-left too. Three episodes in - I will amend the review if it does start to even out...
