superdeedee The best show was the first, but over the last few seasons it has gotten worse, with poor writing for the actors to speak, they do not change clothes, they say the same thing over and over again and they drag scenes for weeks on and never get anywhere. Veronica is a mean bitch and only one time did Jeffrey and perhaps Katherine give you something that you might want to see again, David is a wimp and boring to me. Wyatt is always trying to recover from drugs and never does anything productive, Jim is always trying to get back at someone, Hanna is always praying and never changes her clothes, always depressed, never seeing a smile and being happy, Candice is always trying to get even with someone, well now both of her black men are dead, lets see what happens next season, her case never comes up, Jeffrey is a pussy too, get some balls and be a real gay man. When anyone on the show gets hit, the injury stays for the entire season and never goes away. When someone dies the cast never knows or the persons involved never knows about it for months on, that is very tired, like a child is writing this so called night time soap opera. I wish Oprah would band Tyler Perry from being on OWN, his shows are giving her a bad name. He really needs to stick to his plays where Madea was so funny but when he plays himself it is boring too, some of his movies are great but these TV shows are tired as hell. Need to be on TV land or TV ONE.

labbysexy-544-183001 Decided to watch on demand from Season 1. Could not believe in this day and age, anyone would write such nonsense!! The entire show is based on a black street girl Candace who seems to have a hold on everyone she meets especially the rich and famous, talking to them the way she pleases, rude and blackmails time and time again. Unsure which world Tyler Perry lives in where a common street black girl like Candace would have the gall to do all these things and nothing would have happened to her. The entire story line is abysmal with a cast equally woeful. Unsure why Tyler used Tika Sumpter as the main protagonist as her acting chop is just not up to par for the role. As for the other characters, I am guessing this is the best gig they could get as cannot see anyone else hiring them other than for a bad soap opera. The character of Veronica Harrington was not bad although over did it on a number of occasions as well as Jim Cryer who was not bad also.Tyler Perry clearly does not undertake research before writing as all these things can never happen. Examples being Candane walking up to secret service and shouting at them, sleeping with a judge and blackmailing him and getting away with it as well as sleeping with potential presidential candidate and filming him, Really!! Purchasing homes worth millions with cash, a black woman with no job and discernible source of income, then the kicker, wanting to borrow on the mortgage and demanding money be in account that very day. A high school kid of today would not write such mess. The entire show is so annoying and unbelievable you cannot believe an acclaimed writer like Tyler would put his name to such trite.

jayjaylove-82327 The Haves and the Have Nots is a good soap opera drama that I love and can't stop watching. I binged watched 4 or 5 episodes in one day it's so good to me. Unpredictable, lots of drama and I want to know is that Benny's real father, I mean in real life? They look like twins. Anyway, I will continue to watch and hope Tyler Perry writes more and more. Two thumbs up!

joannriddick I have to give this show a 7. I'm not a Tyler Perry 'hater" but I can tell you why this show does not get a 10. Just last night I watched the scene where Benny and Hannah were on the porch sitting and waiting for Candace to drop off the 20k. They went back and forth with tedious dialogue about whether she was going to show up or not. He did it again with a phone conversation between Jeffrey and Candance. He does it all the time with David's character. And why does it take several episodes before they tell Candance about her son. The plots are just too drawn out. I can name many. That unnecessary yrepetitive dialogue drags on and on in all of Tyler Perry's episodes. The story lines are fairly good. Just move on with the writing(dialogue). Anyway, I applaud Tyler for just being able to give us his talent. We need his face in the place. Continue giving opportunities Tyler but in your hiring process, please use more writers.
