Dotbankey A lot of fun.
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
RaspberryLucozade It's amazing how one's tastes change as one gets older. I was ten years old when this first came out and at the time I loved it. I was wary about revisiting after so many years, worrying that it would not have lived up to my happy memories. I was right to be wary, I can't believe I used to find it funny.'Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps' followed the lives of 5 twenty-somethings from Runcorn - slovenly Johnny and his equally slovenly girlfriend Janet ( Ralf Little and Sheridan Smith, who had earlier appeared with each other on 'The Royle Family' ), sleazy Gaz and his fiery girlfriend Donna ( Will Mellor and the gorgeous Natalie Casey ). The only one not to be in a regular relationship is Louise, an annoying, whiny voiced young girl with the mental ability of an infant.I tried watching this again recently but I found I could not sit through it. It was just far too hard going. It was badly acted and badly written. I do enjoy a bit of childish humour ( I loved 'Bottom', 'Men Behaving Badly', 'Spaced' and 'The Young Ones' ) but that kind of humour is only funny if it is done properly, Here it seemed far too forced.Like 'Little Britain', 'The IT Crowd' and 'The Office', 'Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps' should be locked away in a vault, never to be seen again.
Brad Tyler i am not going to waste much time on this, i only came here to see what score it has over all, after the brilliant, clever and VERY FUNNY show "Pulling" got dropped from having a 3rd series, when utter drivel like 2 pints goes ON and ON and ON! the BBC have lost the plot completely, Pulling has won awards for its brilliance, yet they cancel it during it's prime, and not 1 single second of 2 pints is capable of raising even a mild smirk from me or anyone i know. the "humour" (if you can call it that), is childish, badly written and like it belongs on cbeebies. the acting is stale and contrived as is the dreadful studio audience laughter. i simply cannot believe how bad it really is! BBC, sort you act out before you descend to the bottom of the pile, even under channel 5. URGH! two pints?!?! trash, i'd rather a gin and tonic any day!
pupsmaschine Honestly, how can this get an average rating of 7.+? The jokes are tripe. I have written better material and I have bovine spongiform encephalopathy. The banter you hear in pubs is 10 times funnier than this pap. Every episode is the same. Same plot over and over again. "Gaz, will you have sex with me?" , "yeah, but not up the pooper" (Massive laugh from audience)......that's it, honestly, that's it. Poor....... This show gets shown on BBCThree, day in day out. It feels as though it's on 24 hrs a day. You only have to see one show to know how the rest of the series pans out. "gaz, blah, blah, blah." (insert some terrible double entendre reply). Do yourself a favour and actually go to the pub for a couple of pints and a packet of crisps.
jaspar-casey I watched a few episodes last night and eventually turned off the TV out of sheer boredom. This program is absolutely terrible. I've seen this show before and didn't like and tried to give it a second chance last night. The characters are very dry and boring. The writing is so predictable it's not even funny. It tries to be clever about relationships but all the conclusions they come to are so dull and obvious that I really don't see why they bother to try. This awful program is topped off by one of the lamest laugh tracks ever. If the fake audience isn't even enjoying it, you can be sure that real people will find it just as boring. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this!
