XoWizIama Excellent adaptation.
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
adonis98-743-186503 Eliza Thornberry travels the world in an RV with her parents Nigel and Marrianne, famous nature show hosts. Eliza is doubly unique because she was granted the magical ability to talk with and understand animals. Together with her teen-age sister Debbie, her pet monkey Darwin, and her wild-boy foster brother Donnie, Eliza gets involved with many different wild adventures. The Wild Thornberrys is another terrific and highly underrated Nickelodeon animated series that benefits from it's strong stories, well written characters and above all entertainment.
Darryl Jason One of the best children's animation TV series ever to be created. I absolutely love this show! My favourite for sure! During the shows run (1998) I was 12 years old, a little older than the average kid that this show is aimed at but who cares, I always love to revisit this show even today (& I'm 31!) . I can't fault this show one bit - it's fun for children of all ages right up to early teens . The show centres around Eliza Thornberry (voiced by Lacey Chabert) who has the ability to talk to animals of all kinds; rats, lions tigers, bears, giraffes, hyenas, birds, monkeys, horses, you name it! Even her nearest & dearest friend; a chimpanzee named Darwin. I think it's a great show that really does have a high education level to teach children about wildlife. Each episode tells a different story filled with humour & wit & adventurous tales. For me the star of the show is Eliza's teenage troublesome sister, Debbie (voiced by Danielle Harris). There's just something about her that really amuses me, I think the voice talent by Danielle Harris is incredible & I'm very surprised she didn't gain any award from the series. But yeh she's amazing. One of TV's best animated characters. I actually met Danielle at the London Film & Comic Con a few years ago & had the pleasure of asking her how she came about to voice the character of Debbie & I'll always remember how she expressed her interest in voicing the role & that she would definitely love to do it again.Other notable voice talents which I think more of the older generation may be familiar with is Tim Curry who voices the character of Nigel Thornberry. Again, fantastic voice talent, very distinctive & well played. The show ran for 5 seasons with an additional 2 movies to follow; The Wild Thornberrys Movie & The Rugrats Go Wild. It's just a shame this show never really gained the credit it deserves cause it's a winner in my eyes & although it still gets shown on TV today (reruns) I always enjoy going back to this one . No matter how old I get it still takes me back to my 90s! Parents shouldn't definitely introduce their children to this gem of a show. You won't be disappointed!
sirfreeman Nickelodeon has a lot of great shows (which they tend to cancel for no apparent reason) like Hey Arnold, As Told By Ginger, SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, Kappa Mikey, but sadly this one just isn't up to par.I first saw the show in 2001 and even back then, as a kid, I disliked it.The show definitely has what it takes to be a hit: big adventures, girl who can talk with animals, plenty of different characters, yet it keeps throwing sticks in it's spokes. One of the biggest problems and what really kills this show is character development. Whenever a character develops in an episode, all the progress is forgotten once you get to the next one. Eliza gives bird a needle so it could gather insects more efficiently, thus unleashing a domino effect which quickly harms the environment. So, she realizes that she shouldn't go about doing things without thinking of consequences. Lesson learned. No. She proceeds to do something stupid again after that, completely ignoring what she has learned. Also, she's completely arrogant and probably more than half of the situations she gets into wouldn't even occur if the little brat would have bothered to let the person/animal complete their sentence! This point alone makes the show extremely unbearable.Debbie goes through the show as the big, mean and selfish sister. She get's a job in Siberia and learns about being kind to others. But seems to develop amnesia as she returns to her usual whiny-self in the next episode.End of rant. Also, I would like to add that the person responsible for "Rocket Power" should be fired.
honestabe1712-1 When this show first started on Nick I loved it but as it went on I started just to completeling hate this show. I mean at first sure its great to see somebody be able to talk to animals and help those animals and it is also great to see a family togethe like the Thornberrys, but after a while all that stuff gets really really really really really really boring. So who ever is reading this my advice is just watch the show for a short while because if you contuinely watch this show you are going to want to destroy that show and all of their stupid characters. Trust me I watched that show ever since it's very start and near the end of the show I just wanted to kill the people who created this show.
