SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
Curt Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
frannyw1807 The Ren & Stimpy Show, for me, is a very entertaining show. The animation is very amusing to watch! The reason I put 9 stars is because Seasons 3-5, when the creator John K., was fired, aren't as high quality as the original Spumco cartoons. Season 1- When the show was at its "cuter, more friendlier" time. Season 2- Extremely amusing! (the Carbunkle cartoons are the best) Season 3-5- Meh. Overall, Ren & Stimpy left a big mark on future cartoons. Although, Nickelodeon's cartoons today aren't especially up to scratch, especially Spongebob after the creator also left, and the Fairly Odd Parents since Poof and Sparky got introduced.
seanwilson556 A misunderstood classic is what I would call 'The Ren & Stimpy Show'. It was obviously a mature-themed TV show but shown on a kids television channel. It's dark humour, violence, off-colour humour and sexual innuendo caused the show to be redone and "lighter". John K was fired and some of the other guys stayed and tried to emulate John K's style but also make it more accessible and "kid friendly".So season one and two are just classic after classic. Ren is probably one of the darkest comedy characters I've ever came across. Unpredictable, violent and utterly insane whereas Stimpy is a lovable but dim witted cat. And that comes across as great chemistry between the two characters.Wildly entertaining, off the wall and way ahead of it's time, Ren & Stimpy show is a misunderstood classic full of morbid humour and fine animation. But it's not for kids, honestly it's been marketed totally wrong. The humour is too adult and varied for kids.
CartoonFan92 I love this show. I love everything about it. It's a cartoon masterpiece that should be watched by anyone of any age. It has great characters, a nice classical soundtrack, a great sense of humor, and wonderful voice acting. Let's not forget how beautifully animated this show is. Ren Hoek and Stimpson J. Cat are my favorite cartoon duo. The best episodes are the ones produced by Spumco (1991-1993), but the Games Animation ones (1993-1996) are good too. I think fans of Space Ghost Coast To Coast, Ed Edd n Eddy, Rocko's Modern Life, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Angry Beavers, and the golden age cartoons (Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Popeye) will love it. The Ren & Stimpy Show is a must watch for anyone who loves great cartoons, and hilarious comedy. OVERALL a 10 out of 10, I recommend it for anyone. Out of all the great 90's cartoons (and there was a LOT of great ones) this one is my favorite.
haildevilman Johnny K. drop kicked animation into the next phase when he created this masterpiece.Non-stop non sequitors were all over the place. I couldn't stop laughing. And the situations seemed to be an ongoing contest of how unrealistic can we be. The deadpan deliveries added to the fun.Kirsch lost the rights to this at one point and the new owners RUINED it. It became an abuse/gross-fest. So make sure you see the Spumco versions only. The DVD has it all un-cut now. And it's still funnier than anything on today. Seth MacFarlane had to have been a fan. This and the great "Liquid Television" deserve to be kept alive.
