Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
candoor The first five or sic episodes left me thinking... so much drama, so little science. Some fair stories, but truly brilliant science fiction has much more imagination, much more science, and way less moral dilemma. Too many episodes were focused on human weaknesses and became almost preachy dramatizing the warning against stereotypical "sins." The lack of scientific integrity made many episodes hard to watch. Soap opera quasi-science fiction at best, heavy on the soap.
lothos-370-690020 When the series first started I was looking forward to it. I'd seen some of the original series on late night TV while working night shifts and hoped the new version would live up to its predecessor. In a word no. Some episode were genuinely thought provoking and despite the tedious and extremely patronising ending monologues I gave it a real go. However, after seeing the world end for the 50th unoriginal time, I had stop watching. For example, at the end of the FIRST series an episode called The Voice of Reason , has Aliens in human form hearing stories of how other alien invasions threatened their own evil schemes. Thats right, they had so many earth's gonna get it soon episodes to pool from, they could make a repeats show based solely on that premise, and that was from the first season only! And they didn't stop there, trust me. As I said there were some really good ideas here and there but you had to wade through a lot of crap to get to them. I gave it 2/10 cause that was the good to bad episode ratio in my opinion.
ShadeGrenade In the mid-'90's, B.B.C.-2 screened 'The Outer Limits' in the slot vacated by the ratings-busting first season of 'The X-Files'. They gave it a 'Radio Times' cover and loads of publicity, but unfortunately shot themselves in the foot by opening with the execrable 'Blood Brothers' instead of the excellent pilot episode 'Sandkings'. Ratings plummeted, and the show eventually disappeared. It was a shame because 'Outer' had some good stories, special effects and performances to offer. By far the best episode was 'A Stitch In Time' in which Amanda Plummer played a time-travelling scientist who executes the men who will one day become serial killers. On the down side, the show featured gratuitous nudity and sex ( particularly 'Caught In The Act' ), something the original managed to do without. A number of episodes from the old show were remade; 'I, Robot' was passable, but the less said about 'The Inheritors' the better. The quality varied, but overall it was worth watching.
blackpoint The first 4 episodes of season 6 are just to throw up, to predictable and the worst scenario i've seen. Won't and hopefully i din't buy it. Also seen in seasons back that episodes about space they did, suck even more. All i want to say to the people who make this is: don't do whole episode about space, because they suck. The point is that season 6 sucks even more than the seasons before. Gets worse from season to season. I got so disappointed and frustrated watching first 4 episodes of season 6 that i just had to write this. Only people who are brain washed can watch this crap. Seems that people writing the scenario are getting out of ideas for a long time. Think that my 2 year old nephew had a better idea for the episode than these people do.
