Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
kapop69 This show is so awfully amateurish it is agonizingly uncomfortable to watch. What's worse is the overzealous audience who hoot and holler at jokes that are more ideologically pointed than funny. The director compounds this forced laughter and applause during the shows credits when the audience tries applaud and cheer for 2-3 minutes. I feel sorry for the "actors." I know I have seen a couple in other shows on Comedy Central and in TV commercials. They are really hitting rock bottom with this turkey. The worst example of this is Dennnis Miller, whose rapid-fire, arcane references are so beyond the ken of the audience that the timing of their laughter is not in sync with his not-so-funny and very bitter punch lines. What is it with conservativism and comedy? Miller used to be a hoot when his observations weren't such blatant attempts to attack one side of the political spectrum. Like Miller, the conservatives who write for this show are so consumed with trying to score political points against the left that they miss being funny by a long shot. One skit had "God" smiting secular humanist authors (to quote O'Reilly) and the audience not only laughed but cheered as each met their fate. Now who wouldn't find that funny? Good Christian humor, huh? I suppose the kool-aid drinking Fox News die-hards will force themselves to laugh and keep watching but it won't last long. I've watched three episodes and even on a good night this show is worse than a high school comedy routine. As Lewis Black observed, "If this is supposed to be a 'fake' news show on Fox News, shouldn't it be a real news show?" To those faithful acolytes of all things Fox, keep trying to laugh while you cringe inside.
SirAndrew I must say, this show is some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a long time. While the pilots were good, the series so far has just been getting better and better. They've featured skits on the ACLU (some of my favorite), sexual harassment, feminism, and even cameos by Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham. Now, I will admit that the show does contain conservative humor and satire. Liberals may not get the humor and be offended by its sometimes off-the-wall and politically incorrect humor. But we should be able to laugh at ourselves one in a while, shouldn't we?
rg The 1/2 Hour News Hour serves up a funny roasting of news events and personalities from an absolutely unique viewpoint -- the conservative side of the political spectrum. And it does so with at least as much result as its over-rated competitors on the political left (The Daily Show, etc.). But then, there is so much about the political left to ridicule, and such a dearth of comedy programs doing it! Besides fast-paced skits the show features its own gag commercials that manage to clobber with humor everything from Hollywood's intellectual pretensions to the ACLU's innate inability to recognize its own comic potential. The original episodes aired on Fox News Channel won the sweepstakes for viewers in their cable time slots.
One_who_knocks It's funny how people on the left cannot enjoy humor that lampoons them. I watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report and think they're hilarious. I know full well that neither Stewart or Colbert are in my corner, but they are funny - even when what they do slams me or my views. Y'all on the left need to learn how to lighten up. It's obviously bad for your health if you're verping. On to the review. I didn't really notice the laugh track as being overbearing. Hmmm, the credits shows an audience warm-up guy. Could it be that actual live human beings were laughing at the jokes? I was laughing. They were laughing. Obviously some people find the jokes funny. So basically it may not be your kind of humor. Find the remote, there you go, now change the channel. The two co-hosts are okay; they're not on the same level as Stewart/Colbert, but they'll do. It's the first show. Give them a chance to find their groove. I hope this doesn't get canceled, it's only going to get better.
