Reviews

GrimPrecise I'll tell you why so serious
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Curt Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
Rascutin Compared to the other crap shows on the Disney channel, this show is way better than any of them. On the other Disney shows, there is always one ugly character (examples: Dez on Austin & Ally. Luke on Jessie. Zack & Cody on Suite Life of Zack & Cody.). But on this show I can't think of one character that is so annoying because of their appearance. Not even Deuce, who's got gargantuan eyebrows. This show has a great cast who actually can dance. Bella Thorne and Zendaya are adorable girls who I think have real talent in dancing and singing. The characters Rocky (Zendaya) and CeCe (Bella Thorne) are just downright hilarious. I love how CeCe can be such a dope sometimes and I just love it. However, my favorite characters happen to be Gunther (Kenton Duty) and Tinka (Caroline Sunshine) Hessenheffer. I love their accents, their ridiculous taste in fashion, their wickedness, and of course their acts they pull. In one episode (can't remember which one), they sang this hilarious song they wrote for a talent show. It was all about wanting a goat for Xmas and the lyrics were SO funny. But what really got me upset about this show was that they got rid of Gunther. Why?! Oh, why!!! I haven't seen the entire show so hopefully, they bring him back at the end (like what happened to Steve on Full House). Other than that, this is a great show!
Shopaholic35 I must admit that I am a Disney addict and completely love the early work and happily enjoy the live-action new Disney. Shake It Up is a great show for when you want to relax and turn off your brain for 30mins. It's not groundbreaking TV but it does have some great dance & music numbers and an adorable cast (Bella Thorne & Zendaya are fast becoming young style queens). It can be luck of the draw as some episodes are pretty good, others not so much but I find it is a lot better than some of the other tween shows out there. So if you enjoy reverting back to your childhood every now and then or alternatively are a child then give it a shot. It's really not as bad as you might think.
mypocketcloud-anderson There are so many things wrong with this show. I'll begin with the writing. The episodes are strange and puts the characters in unrealistic situations. The comedy is terrible, and I once went an entire episode without laughing once. The acting is very off too. The actors are very un-funny and can't dance at all. CeCe is a rebel who is always acting like a bad role model. She is never shown doing schoolwork on the show and always gets in detention. Rocky is A DIVA. Seriously? I've never seen anybody more dramatic and spoiled than Rocky's character. Deuce and Ty act stupid all the time and are pretty bad actors as well. Gunther and Tinka are made fun of, with all the kids being racist to them. Their accents are also totally fake and bad. Tinka (for some reason?) decides to make her accent better in Season 3. And finally, Flynn. This little brat is the most obnoxious and mean little kid I have ever seen. He deserves to get spanked. He is spoiled and always makes a sarcastic comment to ANYTHING ANYONE says around him.Now I'm sure the actors are good people, but this show is awful! And there are also sexual innuendos (and as mentioned above, bad role models.) Do not let your kids or anybody watch this show.
Brooks Lori So, SIU is probably the worst kids' show I've ever watched. I'm not a huge new Disney fan because I often blame it for being "too educational", though now I'm rather disappointed that this show lacks "moral" and other educational values. Even worse, 98% of the actors on this show are pure crap. Bella Thorne, A.K.A CeCe Jones (Seriously? CeCe? That's how I'd name my teacup Chihuahua, not my daughter.), is a horrid actor, dancer and singer. She's downright disrespectful, cocky, conceited and stick thin. Bad role-model much? And even though she's dyslexic, I can't believe how bad she makes dyslexia look. She doesn't care about school or grades, or not about anything school-related whatsoever, going as far as making her "best friend" Rocky do her homework. Again, HORRID role-model.Then there's Zendaya or "Rocky" Blue. (Oh, please stop with the dog names...). She's not as bad as CeCe, but she's downright annoying. Out of her and Bella, Zendaya seems to be the one to overact the most. I couldn't even count how many ditzy face expressions she could pull out in one episode! She's pretty much as obnoxious as CeCe, too! Then comes Flynn, CeCe's younger brother. Usually, the kids in such shows (Cory in That's So Raven, Charlie in Good Luck Charlie, Zora in Sonny With A Chance, etc.) would always seem to make me grin. Well, Flynn wasn't the case, as he came out as rude, unruly and fake. The actor portraying Flynn doesn't do his job right either, which made me even sadder about this show. Other than that, this show is horrid. The only good things in this show are the (somehow) cute outfits the two main characters wear, the catchy theme-song and the overall cuteness of the cast. Though I think this show is better at selling toys than at anything else.
