Reptileenbu Did you people see the same film I saw?
Console best movie i've ever seen.
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
alexm-32086 Might take a couple episodes to get the plot thick and rolling but my goodness this is nothing less than a Masterpiece. Great cinematography, fantastic writing and even better acting, a very underrated classic, such a shame Netflix cancelled it
lucia-chi Once you get into Sense8, it is amazing. Shot in so many different countries around the world which must have been so difficult to ensure continuity, This series has made me cry from happiness and sadness within the same episode. The way they use music is amazing. And it has so many LGBT scenes which show how beautiful relationships can be. This series got me through a hard time and I'm so grateful for it.
fiorela-46730 I saw many reviews here complaining about the lack of story or story progress and espacially about the lack of sci-fi elements. And I tell you what. This series isnt about science fiction after all.The plot is about eight characters from all around the world with different backgrounds. Through a coincidence they get mentally connected to each others via telepathy. So what exactly is the main story? It is about these characters. It is about humanity. It is about equality. The series ask the question what makes everyone of us the same. Or is this even the case? And I think that with the telepathy element the Wachowskis found a great way to ask this questions. This main story about the characters and greater ideals is accompanied by a thriller like side story. Also this ask a question about racism. But it is simply a thriller like companion were the characters always threaten by external forces.Overall ... if you expect some kind of shooting, lightsaber or spaceships, you are totally wrong. Some easy going story which dont need you intention wrong. If you like series, like I do, asking philosophical and social questions about mankind, you will enjoy this series so much.
andreasms Couldn't bare to finish the first season; watched up to the 8th episode. I was hoping to see some development in the story but I gave up. Firstly, the show does a brilliant job in making you cringe while all the characters speak English even though they are in Korea, Mexico, Africa. Furthermore it is trying too hard to show how the LGBT community is being somewhat suppressed. I think viewers were tricked into believing that we would be seeing some Sci-fi show whereas it ended being an agenda pushed down our throats. I fully support activism for the right reasons but sense8 fails on both providing viewers with a compelling story and being a medium for showing controversial matters. This is the 21st century where Netflix is gaining ground on becoming a worldwide streaming pioneer. More and more shows are created to cater a growing international audience. So why watch this absurd Americanised way of portraying things? Better look elsewhere. I'm sure if it wasn't for the producers and their 'brand' this show would be considered a total flop, which frankly it is. Glad to know it is cancelled.
