Reviews

AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
SnoReptilePlenty Memorable, crazy movie
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
dncorp Reminds me of the Old Japanese Mech TV Series of the 1960s, that was in Japanese, with English Subtitles that did not really match what was being said in Japanese, the lips never matched what was being said either like there was a lag. Used to practically run home from School just to watch the Cartoons, MECH, and Children's Programs that started after the "Soap Operas".Those were fun to watch. Back then children also knew how to separate Fantasy (seen on TV) versus the Harsh Reality of the News (Race Riots, Beginnings of the Save the Democracy of South Vietnam Vietnam War, Racism that existed all over the U.S., Violence of the Students for a Democratic Society's Weather Underground bombings, Communist Party Student Movements, the routine yearly Forest Fires and Hurricanes).I realize just how "innocent" I was back then, after over 5 Decades, and how simple life was for everybody (Adults, Teens, Children) compared to Now (2017). I used to buy the Japanese Plastic Model Kits and very carefully actually read the instructions, clean parts, sandpaper the molding marks and glue seams and mix paints, paint with an air brush to build the MECHs. Even making the small human figures look real (from a distance), even painting in eyes using a 10x magnifying glass. While some of my Friends used to just glue everything together. I still have a couple of those MECHs I built so many Decades ago.To this day I still wonder why we don't have these for Real for the U.S. Military, back then I got interested in the Advanced Research Projects Agency (A.R.P.A.) later renamed Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (D.A.R.P.A.) because of all the cool things they were creating like "Exo Skeletons", "Human Amplification Systems", "Augmented Human Programs".
gerickstad I have to admit, I was skeptical when I started watching...but then the plot unfolded, and it was more than just a good guy fighting a bad guy with a giant robot. No, there were layers. Just when you think you have the villain figured out, you are suddenly questioning yourself. Also, I love the friendship dynamics. The boys start as friends, but it's clear they become family. Maybe the characters are a little cliché at first, but Disney elaborates on them as the series continues. It's clear they are not defined as the geek, or the comic relief. I do admit the cgi isn't the best, but I enjoyed the show so much I could overlook that. Overall, I think it's a hilarious, sweet show with a powerful message.
mlwatts-67095 Good Show to watch with the kids. Remind me of the old Chinese super hero movies. The actor is above average for a modern Disney show. so 9.1/10 Ages: 8+ *If they can translate between reality and fantasy.* Very good show. You should watch it but it's not perfect.Every show has it's flaws.i hope it stay on for another season.
Udom 12 You see, I did not enjoy this show as much as I was hoping, as the advertising looked much better than the actual show, but let's get to the real stuff. The story line is basic, the acting isn't too bad, the CGI is also pretty bad, but, for the estimated 1,000,000$ budget, I have to give it to them, they did good for that, but, they could have done a lot better, like add a little less CGI into the monsters. Overall, It was bad.
