Reviews

TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Winters_Spirit I loved this show! I watched it every Friday night on the WB without fail. It really surprised me when I went to watch it one night and it wasn't there. It so described how being a teenage girl is nowadays (maybe without such a quirky family or such a large family). Reagan Dale Neis was excellent as Molly Stage and the little 'fun facts' that popped up everynow and then (Pop-Up Video anyone?) were fun. I'd've LOVED to be in a family like that if I had the chance. I would have given this show (out of 5) 5 stars for comedy, 5 for acting and a 5 for the use of factuality.
kiki_4_Bee Maybe its me is one of my favourite shows, it is realistic but keeps you laughing. Julia Sweeney is hilarious. It has a great cast and you can relate to it too. Is there an official site?
astymegoesby I watched the pilot twice to get this review right. The theme is refreshing and doesn't drown you with stupid teen stuff. Molly is very realistic as a teenager in the middle of nowhere. (enter) her best friend Mia Lieber (short for Lieberman or Liebowitz?) - spunky Jewish best friend ... Everything is very realistic, even the AOL IM's, finally a TV show that uses emoticons and chat lingo. Nick Gibson, a newcomer will be someone to watch for, totally cute and dreamy with just the right stuff to make it. For the pilot, out of 10 I give "Maybe It's Me" 8.
leopard185 What do you get when you mix: a popularity longing fifteen-year old, her embarrassing, bad advice giving parents, one brother who is a Wanna-be Christian rocker, another brother who just "happens" to have a lot of expensive stuff, a lot of money, but no job, two little rascal twins sisters who fight over everything and enjoy turning over cereal bowls on each other's heads, a best friend who is Jewish, but is in love with the Christian rocker Wanna-be brother, a grandmother who hides food EVERYWHERE and cannot remember what she said from one minute to the next and tends to repeat things, and a grandfather who despises that grandmother? Well, (after taking a breath after saying all that,) you get the new WB Friday night comedy Maybe Its Me! Molly Stage, played by Reagan Dale Neis, is fifteen and has just gotten rid of her baby fat, AND just gotten noticed by her all-time crush. But for every good thing to happen to a fifteen year old, there is also a bad thing right behind it! Molly, is the middle child of five, has to deal with Rick (Andrew Walker), Grant (Patrick Levis), Cindy (Daniella Canterman) and Mindy (Deanna Canterman) and her parents (Julia Sweeney and Fred Willard) and grandparents (Ellen Albertini Dow and Dabbs Greer). Vicki Davis plays Mia, Molly's best friend and the only other sane person in her life. Well, there's also Nick Gibson (Shaun Sipos), Molly's biggest crush who just happens to be invited to Molly's house for dinner on the night that she forgot to check every ornament in the dining room for the raw food her grandmother hides. Well you get the picture. Life's not easy for Molly, but something got her thinking. "Why is my family so weird? I don't know. MAYBE ITS ME!" "Maybe is Me" can be seen on the WB Friday night at 8:30. Don't miss it!
