Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Kayden This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
dobber-386-202697 This is a 9-star show in terms of drama. I was interested in the roller coaster relationships that Dev went through. I had a vested interest in many of the characters. But this is not a comedy. I judge the quality of comedies by how many times I laugh in a given show. Master of None, I believe 20 episodes, made me laugh 20 times. Total. That's not per show, that's total. When there have been episodes of Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, or going further back to Cheers and Seinfeld where you get that many laughs in a single episode, to call Master of None a comedy is not doing the show or any potential new viewers justice. If you put on a typical drama, you will usually laugh once per show. Well, that's what we have here.So this is not a comedy at all. In fact, I didn't laugh once in the final two episodes of Season 2. But damn if I wasn't really into it. Drama!
bisho27 Actually this TV show is super good. It's not a pute comedy, it has this very well balanced mix of drama and comedy "there isnt lots of drama and not lots of comedy". It really depicts lots of aspects we face in real life, thats why its engaging and you can binge watch it. "The comedy touch helps alot"
interestingstuff I watched the first two seasons and it felt like I watched two different shows. The first season was brilliant and it was funny. I enjoyed every episode in the first season and the material was solid. I don't think the acting was bad either since Aziz was playing himself in the show. The second season was the complete opposite of the first season, however. It was boring, slow, full of drama, and completely unfunny. Maybe Aziz ran out of good material at the end of the first season or maybe he lost his enthusiasm but the show truly went downhill very fast in the second season. I've seen shows go downhill after 5-6 successful seasons but this is the first time I see a show go downhill after just one great season. I'd give the first season 10 stars and the second season 1 star, which averages out to 5 stars.
Elissa V This is definitely a show for millennials. My parents would not get nearly the value out of it that I do. His observations and portrayals of contemporary social situations are so on point. I agree with another reviewer that says he does not give you a resolution, but rather a perspective. I love Aziz Ansari, and a lot of this show follows his train of thought from his book, Modern Romance. Sometimes I sincerely feel like he knows something that the rest of us do not. His point of view is so realistic and relevant. So much of the show examined things I was experiencing in my own life, I found it so easy to relate. I cannot say enough good things about this show. It is just so great. The coming of age, the dating in your late 20s/30s, the use of dating apps, trying to live up to your parents expectations, maintaining friends/relationships, ending relationships, religion, and careers. A minor complaint is that the second season wasn't quite as good as the first, although many of the episodes still made me laugh and cry and got me right in the feels, some of it is a little pretentious. Additionally, he has his own parents play his parents in the show and his dad seems to have adapted really well to the camera but his moms acting is terrible. Somehow is makes her more endearing.... but speaking purely on her acting skills, she is bad.
