Noutions Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
becks3400 I can only imagine that Matt LeBlanc dreads going to work every morning. Compared to the sophisticated humor in his other series, this is like Full House cheesy bad. This series is as terrible as the one his character starred in in Episodes (Pucks). And what is with that laugh track? It is so awkward, and something Friends didn't do. I guess I'm glad the guy found work, but I would respect every one of these wonderful actors more if they secretly hate their lives right now and just have bills to pay. This ridiculous cliche comedy with zero chemistry is painful to watch. It's a series filled with people who seem to have no power and are constant victims scheming to dump their fates onto each other. Swoozie, Matt, Liza, Kevin, I am so disappointed in your choices here. All of you are better than this crap. Capable of so much more.
TheWalkingDood Start with some always fresh Matt LeBlanc. Add a helping of the gorgeous Liza Snyder. Throw in a dash of upcoming actors: Grace Kaufman, Matthew McCann and Hala Finley. Simmer a little then add a little of the hilarious Kevin Nealon and Kali Rocha. Bring back to the boil and add a sprinkle of the superb Stacy Keach and beautiful Swoosie Kurtz. Garnish with a bit of the funny Matt Cook and add some Diana Maria Riva for extra flovour....Serve.....What have you got? A funny, fresh, smart sitcom that listens to the rules but doesn't mind bending them a little. Give it a try, I think you might like it.
FamousGirlfriend This show is much better than I expected, then again, my expectations were somewhere below basement level. The first episodes were not very good, but there are moments that are genuinely hilarious and as the characters develop the show seems to find its pace. Episode 8 had me laughing so hard I actually cried.LeBlanc and Snyder have great chemistry and the kids are good. They aren't the problem, the problem is the writing. The idea that a man who starts taking more (that is,equally as much) responsibility for his family is somehow in for a shock because omg parenting is hard, is terribly outdated. LeBlanc does this in a heartwarming day; of course everyone wants to be the fun parent, and it's good that he realises that being a parent is more than being fun. It's like his character is on the right track, but the writers still throw really sexist scenarios at him. His character is in many ways too good to be a stupid man child, but still the writers don't seem to have understood this.Adam (LeBlanc) and Andi (Snyder) are clearly capable of being a grown up, lovable couple that tries really hard to navigate through parenting, but for some reason the writers just have to go there, that murky place with all that stereotyping: men are like this, women like that, etcetera. Adam and Andi are relatable in many ways, so that the writers feel forced to make them less relatable is beyond me.Sitcoms generally freak me out. If you can't make the comedy stand on its own, without a laugh track showing people when to laugh or not, you're not good at doing comedy. Plus it's just scary watching something together with invisible people with a bad sense of humour. If the producers of this show would just let go of some of those laughs and allow the characters to be a driving force instead of letting old, sexist and cliché ideas of family life take the wheel, this show could really go somewhere. There's something unique with this show, but that could disappear really quickly if the writers eff it up, and they actually seem to want to do that.
peenham-46348 Another show with an overbearing abusive loud mouth wife pretending almighty. This throttles any comedy that might have happened. LeBlanc is good in small doses but not as a main character. Kevin Nealon is quite good and gets the 2 stars. The plot has promise but can be predictable, line then laugh, line then laugh pattern regardless of content.
