I'm aware that this is a show about mermaids, but even in fantasy there has to be enough realism to make it believable and draw you in; the costumes in this show fail at that so much it's cringeworthy. The acting and plot is usually very cringeworthy as well.

I've never felt so at home with a movie or series before. It's fantastic. Everything I've ever wanted from a series. It's great both for girls and boys (at least for me, 'cause I'm a boy). I wish they'll make another season. It would mean the world to me. It's one of those movie which you wish you never forget after having watched it, and one of those movies I'll watch again and again.

From a quality level, this show is a 3 but I voted it 1 because I personally hated it.From the country that brought you Steve Irwin and countless nature documentaries, Jonathan M. Shiff Productions presents Mako Mermaids.From the mediocre cinematography, cheap effects, substandard acting, and cringe worthy story line, Mako Mermaids is hardly enjoyable. Maybe if you are a little girl that hasn't developed refined entertainment tastes yet you will find it enjoyable but don't except it to be entertaining to the average person.The story line is bizarre and nonsensical. like its counterpart H20 Just Add Water, it doesn't explain the reasons for anything that happens other than just MAGIC. The overall point of the story Is to stop a dude who fell into the magic volcano pool from being hypnotized by the moon and finding the trident of unimaginable power which exists in a secret portal in the volcano. There is also a sub plot where the three girls have been exiled from their "pod" (because mermaid society operates like dolphins) and they will be permanently banished because they let someone in the moon pool.Honestly boring and not worth your time.

But my Mom only let us on Saturday and Sunday. Even my Mom and Dad like the series. Another Reason I like it is because Sirena is going to be married with David,Lyla with Alex, and Nixie with Zac. Another Reason is that also my cousins like it so almost everyone. Another Reason is that I want to see it every single day. Another Reason is that I also like ocean. I rated that series 5/5 AMAZING! SHINY! GOLDEN! STARS! You should see it!!! BUT REMEMBER NOT TO SEE IT ON RAINY DAYS OR AT WINDY DAYS BECAUSE THE INTERNET WOULD NOT WORK VERY WELL!!!!!!!! You should see it on the movie theater or at your house IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!
