Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
BlazeLime Strong and Moving!
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Java_Joe Back when I was young there was a saying when faced with an impossible task and you simply called it "MacGyver". It was of course due to the show starring Richard Dean Anderson as the titular MacGyver who could whip up a solution to any problem with whatever was near by. It was corny and kinda cheesy but it was fun.So when I heard they were re-imagining this I really didn't think it would work. After all when you try to re-imagine a show often times the things that worked are no longer there and they're replaced with pointless action sequences to keep things running. And boy did that come true in this one. The original MacGyver showed us that with a little bit of brains and know how, you could solve any problem. The new guy is a brash jerk who thinks he's in Mission Impossible. It's like they took everything that made the original charming and just threw it away in favor of this guy just being awesome all the time and getting it on with the girl Nikki. How this managed to go three seasons is really beyond me.
Reb-17 I like shows that make science look cool. George Eads is fun.
csgollum Most of the reviews here compare this version (inevitably) to the one starring Richard Dean Anderson. Now I've seen only a few episodes of the original and, although there are a few differences, the character itself hasn't changed much. It's like Smallville rather than Superman, a much younger version of the same character.RDA's MacGyver was quiet and modest and mild-manner, but so is this one. He is as staunchly loyal to his friends as RDA's version. Granted, he frequently breaks the fourth wall, but that only makes the show more believable (at least, to me). Most of the actual 'macgyverings' too are almost equally surprising and awesome. This version does use more chemicals, but then there are more chemicals around us nowadays. So, for all those comparing this version with the old, just relax and give in to the fun! This is entertainment, after all. My rating: 7 stars.
lamasod I love this series. I think the episodes are well made, funny and have a story to tell. I really hope for a season three so that my breakfasts on saturday mornings can still be filled with smiles and excitement as I watch the latest episode.
