Stometer Save your money for something good and enjoyable
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
abhilashabhi-64769 I wish i would see yuvraj singh and hazel keech in your show.there jodi is best and fun to watch them both on TV. koffee with karan is perfect show for them....Rapid Fire is one of the best part of the show its fun to watch and Every week, he invites a couple of Indian celebrities which makes very much interesting to watch. i really wish and love to watch yuvraj singh and hazel keech in Koffee With Karan season. It is a excellent show.
Herag Halli Karan Johar has an-Illustrious lineage-his father,I.S.Johar,was ahead of his fellow actors. He had fluency in English and he was a great wit-so much so his Film-Fare Q&A's were sought after reading (now the mantle is handed over to Shotgun Sinha,) Karan has established his credentials as a reputable director with few off beat movies-probably the only one that has come close to Raj Kapoor as a Film-Maker (others in the list would be Bhansali and Gowariker.) Karan, even though is an Industry Insider, he does not use that information to his advantage. He manages to bring the best in a guest(like he did with Ramesh H,) but it was still excruciating to watch-nothing do with the Host.) He has few qualities that makes him successful as a Talk Show Host. He has gift-of-the-gab,a respect for his guest's sensibilities and good homework in the way of which combination of guest's make a good show--like the Kapoor Brothers--the show was the most entertaining--collectively they were great but I would't think individually they would be that entertaining. Karan has an ethusiasm of a school kid (the way he comes down the stairs-like he has been called down by this mother to play with other kids.) The show is entertaining since you will get a chance to see the side of an actor that you will never get to see-like Hema Malini for instance--she is naturally hilarious-with great sense of humor and she is beauty with brains and a treat to watch. The Coffea hamper has to go--why the secrecy.(it's a basket not a hamper.) Why not promote Brand name products? Does it have to be Koffee? The public opinion and the peer's opinion segment is well done. The rapid fire segment sometimes puts the guest in an awkward position and makes them to be too diplomatic and the segment gives a limited option, like who is the best of two Khan's, instead of who is the best actor today or best of the yester-year etc. This is a the only conflict I sense with the Host. Also the question gets to be mundane after a while. The older actors are never mentioned or interviewed. Either Karan and his staff has something to do with (or the older actors opt out on their own-for instance Dev Anand,Vijayantimala etc,)the selection? Suffice to say they have to cater to the audience which is mostly the same age range as the Host and I guess the Staff too. There was a void in a good Talk Show-only show was it's kind (Simi Agarwal) was bland and too emotional, but Karan has filled the void. The show is real fun (more fun than the recent Hindi Movies) and of course like any Talk show it is "As good as the Guests."
Dingataca Karan Johar hosts this show, and to be honest, it is hilarious. KWK is unique and very addictive, watch one, and you have to see the rest. I remember watching the first couple of episodes in the first season, I thought it would be pathetic and tacky (knowing Karan Johar's films). Boy, was I wrong...This show was made for Karan to host. His slightly feminine personality and talkative, chilled-out nature is the highlight of this show. I'm no big fan of his, but I think this show is better than his films. Hot gossip, facts from the stars themselves, who's dating who, what films are coming up...Karan asks them anything and everything! He can somehow get the stars to confess and blurt the "real stuff" out of them - which is sometimes controversial, and very funny (for the viewer I guess)! The rapid fire round is my personal favourite section of the show. It is great fun to watch, and often provides the best lines of the show.Thank you, KJo, for the best Bollywood gossip programme around.
Sherazade But everybody knows this already eh? Anyways, his show is based on the same idea behind shows like E!'s "Revealed" or Bravo's "Inside the actor's studio" (without the audience of course). Every week, he invites a couple of Indian celebrities (mostly his friends) to come on the show to dish about their working and private lives. Of course a show like this wouldn't be very much different from the others without a little drama added in, and so Mr. Johar attempts to bring out the edgy and sometimes ruthless side of his guests by putting them on the spot. On the premiere show featuring power on screen couple Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol, he asked the former pick between Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen (grimacing, the king Khan reluctantly picked both) then when Johar asked Kajol twice about Preity Zinta's acting (he successfully extracted the fact she feels that she(Kajol) could have done a better job in Kal Ho Na Ho. Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!Johar is more than a director, he has the makings of a tabloid king, a real gossip monger if he so chooses to pursue that path. Everything you've heard about your favourite star is probably true and Mr. Johar hopes to confirm this with every new show. Kareena is snooty and she knows it, Rani is civil and she knows it. Watch how he invited both actresses (Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji) to come and sit on the same couch, OUCH! They sat as far away from each other as humanly possible while trying to convince the audience that they are still friends! Yeah right! If you believe that, you'll believe anything! Oh and did I even mention that no one ever touches their coffee on this show??? With so much tension, how can they?Koffee with Karan, is a must see for all fans of Bollywood and the director alike. It's better than reading a tabloid I can tell you that much. Special thanks to WMBC NY for adding this to their Saturday morning programming.
