Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
RNMorton Nick has started re-running this series and it reminded me of how really solid it was from start to finish. It was a combination of three key factors - great series concept (teenage girls running their own daily webcast), fantastic ensemble casting, and really good writing show in and show out. Victorious took awhile to get going, ended up being okay, but nothing Nick in this genre has ever consistently scored like this. Maybe nothing ever scored like this in the teen genre. Miranda provides the core of the show, Freddie is the ultimate good guy without being overdone, while Sam is a unique teen show character for the ages. Like early SpongeBob, this show has amazing viewing range, my 9 year old watches it regularly now (as my 13 year old did in its first run), and I've enjoyed each episode. Unlike SpongeBob, this show ended at exactly the right time. Kudos.
Liz Airhart Seriously. I cannot even come CLOSE to describing this with actual words. How about words from the show like "poop-tastic"?This is a sorry excuse for a teenage sitcom. I imagined this would be a nice show for myself and younger brother to watch to take time off our hands after being done with chores, but boy was I wrong. My brother fell in love with this horrible...horrible excuse for a show. The laugh track that goes off every 2 seconds? Gee. Like I haven't seen a show use THAT a million times before. The acting? Miranda Cosgrove is a beautiful young lady with...somewhat decent singing talent. But her acting...her acting makes a homeless man on cocaine look like a STAR. Who came up with the character Sam? No girl THAT tiny can take down nearly any adult with ease. She should STAY in a juvenile detention center so this sorry excuse of a web show she and Carly produce can NEVER go on and cause more brain damage for those who watch it.There's not much more to say other than Nickelodeon has gone downhill FAST recently.
Jenn Aldaine Another hit from Dan Schneider. The show is full of quirky random behavior which I find pretty funny. The acting is okay, but not great. Sam Puckett's lazy and juvenile personality is hilarious and entertaining. Carly Shay is kinda meh, but still pretty like-able. Personally, I think Miranda is a pretty decent actress, but I feel she shines best when playing an "evil" character, like Megan from Drake and Josh. Spencer Shay's falling and fire gags were entertaining at first, but became sort of tired as the show went on. Overall, the show is pretty good. Maybe some touch ups on the acting here and there, but should provide entertainment for the whole family.
NewOCFan iCarly is no exception. There are sitcoms out there that focused more on drama that it couldn't even BE a comedy. Mainly in the 90's. iCarly isn't a show that's made to change the world or solve world issues, it's a show people can sit down to make them smile and laugh after a long hard day. A show people can sit down to to check up on these characters and see what was new with them in their crazy little world.Although the show has that fame concept, it isn't like the other shows like Hannah Montana, Sonny With A Chance, JONAS. Those shows showed life within the entertainment industry. iCarly on the other hand, while they have a popular web show, they don't entirely live life as actual famous people. And that's to be said in a good way. They can walk through school without everyone in the room excited to see them. Webicon in iStart A Fan War was the only exception but the fans there represented what fans of iCarly are like (online). The web show itself is what changes most of the characters' lives. Freddie had to learn to work together with Sam and over time would learn to not let her get to him. As well, they also ended up becoming close because of the web show. And when they break up, it's shown at least three times towards the end that Sam is learning to get better because Freddie suggested as they were breaking up, to be a bit more normal. She could still be seen as Sam, but she was becoming better as a person, staying out of trouble as best as she could for example. Gibby is another example. Gibby's confidence grew because they could use the web show to help him get at least one date and although it doesn't turn out well as they hope, they still try to help him get his crush and he learns to just be okay with who he is. And to top it off, if the web show wasn't popular, then Nora Dershlitt from iPsycho and iStill Psycho would've never been fixated on the iCarly gang and Gibby would've never rescued them and become more appreciated by the characters and the fans of this show - with maybe the exception of Sam by a little bit. Also to go along with it, I loved the props and the sets. The Groovy Smoothie, Spencer's wacky sculptures, the Shay apartment, the iCarly studio, Sam's remote, Penny Tees, spaghetti tacos, they were all a real, fun treat. This show was great for me to go home to. The characters were great in their own way and even just reading quotes (even in the characters' voices) alone I can find iCarly making me smile and laugh. I don't like saying anything entertaining made my childhood, but this is part of my childhood.
