This anime was quite good and even funny, when Umaru always tortures her older brother Taihei for making him her slave whenever she's in "lazy" mode at home. I honestly wish I could have a bro like Taihei since he is so good to her and the fact he really is quite a likeable character! Although I know Umaru likes hamsters (so do I), but why does she become small and not her average height when she goes into the house? I have nothing against tall (like me) or small peeps but I just find it rather consfusing she keeps switching from one thing to the other. I meant confusing by are we concentrating on Umaru as a lazy bum or a beauty? I suppose we all have our own alter egos lol. Anyways this isn't really a big of deal but I was very curious while watching this anime lol!Definitely this anime would cheer you up if you're having a bad day or just want to get away from anime that would annoy your head. Although I personally wish they would concentrate on the other characters a little deeper but, it's still ok to watch!I'll give this anime a 7/10 for its humour and its need for deeper storyline

This anime is just so awesome! When I first watched it, I felt like I was in a whole different world. I never got bored of it. Never skipped any second!! Its sooo cute!! I hope other otakus get to see this anime. So it really deserves 10/10. No less, well that's my opinion. But I really recommend this to people who love comedy, slice of life animes.

An anime that is entertaining enough without a solid plot. Actually, the story is so simple that doesn't appeal much. And yet, you probably have seen Umaru's picture somewhere, so that must justify enough for it's popularity. The sort adventure's of Umaru and her brother are simple but entertaining, as Umaru is a tyrant of a sister, always getting what she wants and a complete Otaku that has to have every manga or figurine or video game that is out. Her brother is quite the likable guy, putting up with his sister's outbursts and yet loving her dearly. Fortunately, the anime doesn't get into any brother-sister romance and just keeps it simple and funny. So, 7 out of 10.

This is more of a words of recommendation/warning than review but I want to write it for those who think they need something like this."Himouto! Umaruchan" is about a girl named Umaru and her brother Taihei. They live together and most of the series follows the character dynamics of those two. Umaru has 2 different personalities: perfect in school and lazy junk food eating gamer at home. Most of the series focuses in the silly situations Umaru is getting in when she's in her "child form" (also known "at home" form).What more I need to say?? if you seek something very light and happy with no sad or serious topics this is the one for you. It's all about funny situations and cute things. If you seek something where you can forget your worries this is the anime for you. Nothing super serious, lot's of super cuteness! If you want to watch something with serious topics and real life problems this isn't that kind of anime. it's the first of it's kind I have watched and because of that it's very interesting and I like it a lot.
