good back-story, and good acting

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

I love everything supernatural and weird, but I just could not get into this whatsoever. It was too slow and boring, and despite watching the first half of the season (and rewatching several episodes), i can't honestly say I remember shit or knew what happened. It just failed to grab my interest so I stopped watching it.

After watching all three seasons in 2 weeks, I was impressed. This had a bit of everything I love. The religious profanity could've been excluded but, the plot and characters were well-developed. I enjoyed the small glimpses of comedy that are often missing from other horror shows and movies. Those glimpses made the characters and their experiences seem more like real life. This show takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotion and, believe me, you will encounter subjects not addressed in other shows. The twists are insane and entertaining. I was repulsed at times but it was like a mess you couldn't turn away from. I wish it didn't end like it did. It would be great if they brought it back and continued the story. With the supernatural element, so many things could be done. This is, hands down, a must watch.

When I started this show, one word came to mind: Bizarre. But I had to keep going. The acting is phenomenal, especially Bill and Famke. There characters were so broken inside and complex. I also love the friendship between Roman and Peter. I don't know why some people were hating on this show and comparing it to vampire diaries or true blood. Hemlock Grove was it's own show! The special effects could've used some work but it didn't bother me other than that. For the people that say this show is sexist and demeaning to women... they don't know the full story! I say give it a chance because it is well worth it. However, I didn't like the finale and think it could've ended differently.. especially for Roman.. he was one of my favorites. Some scenes are slightly disturbing and make you wonder if you should turn away.. but you can't!! I give it a 9/10

This show was so promising. I loved season 1 it was a great crazy concoction of the classic vampire /Werewolf story but for smart people and a lot of science. Then season 2 was not as good, but watchable. Season 3 was so bad, I finished it with difficulty. The character assassination of every character I liked was just too much. Sometimes the writers want to surprise you to keep you watching but sometimes those bombs have an adverse effect on the audience. The characters that were entertaining became more annoying. The relationships that were sacred because they made the show were literally crapped on. I am very disappointed at how they ruined a perfect show. So sad to see season 3. The high rating i gave the show is due to the amazing season, i would really like to forget that season 3 ever existed. How could they waste all the season on sub par sub plots that interests no one then in 2 episodes ruin all what they built.
