Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Wordiezett So much average
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
selffamily Because there is no such thing as perfection, I can't give Green Wing 10, but it is very, very funny. From the office girl weighing her breasts on the postal scales to the repartee in the operating theatre, to Alan Statham's embarrassing existence (just where do you start with him?) and Joanna's razor wit, it's non stop. Yes, Sue White deserves every word of praise and there are no weak links. Some times you hate the characters, some times you sympathise with them, some times you just laugh. If you don't like it, don't watch it, but you will be missing something that is already a classic. Pity it has finished. Maybe it's best before it goes stale. Yeah right.
60066 This has to be the best show around at the moment! I recently watched series 2 on TV, and that was brilliant. So I then decided to buy this DVD. Series 1 is just as good!! All of the characters are great, if not slightly strange! My favorite characters are the girls who work in the office, they produce the funniest moments in the program. Sue White is just brilliant. Although i recognise that it doesn't appeal to some people, (though I can't for the life of me see why anyone wouldn't like it!!) if you do like it, the DVD is worth getting! The commentaries are by the cast, and are therefore hilarious, and there are great deleted scenes. In my opinion, Green Wing has made the world a better place. Buy it.If you want to find something new to watch then this is it. Buy this DVD!! Now!
Jackson Booth-Millard When the first series was on, I wasn't exactly that interested. But when the series was repeated, I decided to give it another go, and I am really glad I did. I think this is a great comedy because it just has funny moments, and it has a story as well as those small gags. But of course, I like it because of the many great comedians playing the characters in the hospital. Starring Smack the Pony's Sarah Alexander as Dr. Angela Hunter, Sally Bretton as Kim Alabaster, Oliver Chris as Boyce, Peep Show's Olivia Colman as Harriet Schulenburg, Carrie and Barry's Michelle Gomez as the terrific Sue White, Lenny Henry Show's Tamsin Greig as Dr. Caroline Todd, Pippa Haywood as Joanna Clore, Mark Heap as the hilarious Dr. Alan Statham, Katie Lyons as Naughty Rachel, Stephen Mangan as Dr. Guillaume 'Guy' Secretan, Lucinda Raikes as Karen Ball, Julian Rhind-Tutt as Dr. 'Mac' Macartney and Karl Theobald as Dr. Martin Dear. Series 2 was hilarious, especially for Dr. Statham. Dr. Guy Secretan was number 34 on The World's Greatest Comedy Characters, and the programme was number 9 on The 100 Greatest TV Treats 2004. Very good!
movieman_kev Following the daily going ons by a cast of ultra-quirky characters including Dr. Angela Hunter (Sarah Alexander from "Couplings"), Dr. Guillaume 'Guy' Secretan (Stephen Mangan) and new Doctor (Tamsin Greig of "Black Books") among others. One can sense the influence of "the Office", but this show isn't as sheerly brilliant as that masterpiece and the frequent fastfoward and slowdowns can get a tad tiresome. But if you're willing to watch more than one or two episodes, the series is lucky to grow on you, yet till not as utterly hilarious as I was led to believe. My Grade: B
