Reviews

BallWubba Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Cristal The movie really just wants to entertain people.
neverlong-36970 I normally have pity and respect for a character like George. but honestly I never approved of this show. The profanity is too extreme. They use the A-- word in this show little too much. like I could be walking past my mothers television to go to the kitchen and I hear somebody use A--. Which I realize most comedian shows now use that word and I don't know why. but I think this show can lower the percentage of their fowl language. I remember 15 years ago when you heard people on TV say kick your butt or don't be such a jerk. Now they say don't be such an A--. Its still a dirty word to be using on shows like this. which is why most TV shows are now considered inappropriate for little kids and for the people who might not approve of that kind of language.
anastasia-cessano-writes I first came upon this show while on vacation last summer. I was in my hotel room, and my family wanted to watch something, so I flipped channels, came upon "George Lopez", and watched 2 episodes. Shortly after the second one, I became obsessed. I love this show and it is not a usual trash sitcom like many other Nick at Nite or ABC pieces of trash! You know a show is good when you cannot choose a "least favorite" character, because they are all so well played. This is definitely one of those shows! George, playing himself, the titular character, whatever you call it, works at an airplane parts factory,Powers Bros. and is manager there. Angie, his loving but flighty wife, sells cosmetics. His teen daughter Carmen and grade-school (and later teen) son Max are more than your typical snot-nosed kids, they add a different dynamic and are not cheesy. His friend Ernie is affable and dumb, but is hilarious in what he does, so are the Powers Bros.,and Angie's dad Vic Palmero, who makes some appearances, but the BEST character on this show is George's drunk, raucous, poker- loving, rude, crude, antagonistic mother, Benny! She delivers unexpected comments that always have wit and zing! I LOVE HER, SHE IS EXTREMELY TALENTED! It makes for a great cast, and, as George would say, Que loco hombre!:) Ps. I am only rating this 9/10 because Carmen left.
anonymous_007 I really like this show. That is why I was disappointed to learn recently that George Lopez is a racist, and that he fired Masiela Lusha off the show, simply because he discovered that she wasn't a Latino emigrant, but was an emigrant from Albania. I learned this from people on the show. She was really one of the better parts of the show, and thus, to learn that even among those who you would think would be sensitive to racism, that they can also hate someone, just because of the country where they were born, is really disappointing. lynnie2be4113 shes so pretty and smart! shes my fave actress on abc and i try and catch the show as much as i can and i love her character carmen. i also post on filmbug but i'll try this out for a while. her birthday is on october 23rd and mine is on the 9th so were both libras. everyone on the show is really great! and george lopez is soo funny! whats with jman?? i dont know what your problem is but i think your so wrong cuz theres nothing annoying about her shes not a caracture or anything she's just being 15 and i for one can relate since i just turned 15 like carmen... so i dunno what your problem is but i hope you find out before you ruin any more george lopez fan's moods. but i dont care what you have to say because i like her character the most and i can relate and i think my opinion is more valid than yours since i'm 15 and know how 15 year old girls act... unlike you, so please do us all a favor and shut up with all the latino comments... im not one but i really dont care if shes mexican or not, if she can act then thats good enough for me. i give her props playing so awsomley a 15 year old latina when she obviously isn't. have a nice day, Brooke Lynn
