CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
Cleveronix A different way of telling a story
Animenter There are women in the film, but none has anything you could call a personality.
Justina The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
dannylafontaine13 Gargoyles is a very good show. but its not for little kids. it has some adult jokes. like a gargoyle says hes kinky. and another gargoyle says wanna make sparks fly. and it has swearing like hell. and its very vilonte a gargoyles palms start to bleed. a gargoyle shoots a girl with a gun and shes seen laying in a pool of her own blood. all the gargoyles die in one episode Broadway gets shot. and blue stone bronx angela and brooklyn get burnt to ash on screen. and the main villain kills his son. with that being said i think Gargoyles is not for little kids and is for preteens and teens. and is a very good show for teens and adults.
SabreKhan Oh, to have the Gargoyles back. One of the best animated series ever. Good for the kid in me: the fact that they're gargoyles and can fly (most of them) and generally kick butt. Good for the adult in me: there's actually a plot, and a really good one. The characters are not nauseating like the Power Rangers who defeated them. Except for the fact that the gargoyles are animated supernatural beings, they felt like real people. The show wasn't dumbed down for kids (ahem, Power Rangers and most Saturday morning cartoons since then), nor was it so adult that it was boring (i.e., the non-cartoon channels on Saturday mornings). Gargoyles was (still is, in my opinion) an excellent masterpiece of animated entertainment--scratch that--of entertainment period.
mthakore I started out a nine-year old watching this show. I am now eighteen years old and I still love it. This show had a lot of things that cartoons today don't have. I mean morals, great animation, great story ( most important of all), and great characters. What more could you want? Every one of the characters embodied someone you could look up to. This is especially true for Goliath. He always stuck with what was best for everybody. Even when the whole clan was destroyed, he searched out the enemy to save those that were kidnapped. That is the true measure by which humanity should be measured, doing the right thing. I kind of feel sorry for kids today because cartoons today stink for the most part. I only hope the live action movie is as good as the show was. I can't wait!A solid 10/10
tribblechomper When it was syndicated [read: Free of Network Interference], the stories WERE tighter/more focused...they got away with more stuff because the Standards & Practices folks weren't saying,"No...we can't have it look like Elisa Maza is falling for Goliath!!" Now, be honest...towards the end of the syndicated run, weren't we seeing a precursor to Disney's "Beauty & the Beast"? The moves, the cape-/cloak-like appearance of the gargoyle wings vs. Beast's cloak? There was some fool talk of a live-action "Gargoyles" based on the toon, but with only ONE GARGOYLE [Goliath]; thankfully, that's gone off the boards [for now]! IF, however, "HULK" Smash Box Office...????
