Steineded How sad is this?
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
dlbinderup The writers of this show must be fans of FRINGE (THE best series to ever grace the small screen). Although its much more lighthearted, and certainly not the same show, the influence is VERY clear imo. I mean, a 1940's episode AND an animated episode on top of many, many more nods to the show? I haven't finished the series (on Amazon) as of this writing, but I wouldn't be surprised that there's a Musical episode.
Altered-Reality Does anyone think that Erica Cerra is related to Emmanuelle Vaugier? They look the same, hail from the same place too, and it seems too coincidental of their looks to be just by chance. D.O.B. is far enough apart that it could be possible. Does anyone know for sure, or have an answer? Discuss...I would be very curious to know what people think.
dissy6 Eureka, that's actually all you have to say. There are episodes which are pretty awesome, and you can't just stop watching it,but then there are some you just want to end. I found most of them in the last 2 seasons. Eureka is all in all very solid and has some really really good episodes which i totally enjoyed. But in my humble opinion there are characters who are totally uninteressting. The endless lovestory of Allison Blake and jack carter totally kicks it off. I had some moments where i hated the characters, but all this sounds so negative, every episode has awesome moments as well or just hilarious funny. Like jack and sarah the neverending discussion of them. Or how zoey get smart i mean this is pretty well done. 8/10 because i enjoyed it really good
ronbaugh This show is not realistic. It also sacrifices common sense for fun. Sure there are plot holes and continuity problems. And Ed Quinn is awesome so him leaving kind of sucked. Still the show is what it is a nice 45 minutes (now on DVD) of fun. You know they are going to solve the problems and everything is going to turn out mostly OK. There is a bit of an edge to the show but no fully evil villain. The best part is the actors and their characters. I have not watched a show in a while where I cared about where the story went as much as this one. Like Firefly the main cast is well developed very quickly. However, here the development is allowed to continue. We see the dark side of Henry and while Stark starts off as a sort of villain, he becomes one of the best characters in the show. The show isn't going to really make you think. The science in the show is sketchy and borders on fantasy because it is so implausible. If this bothers you than you probably are not going to like much mass produced science fiction/fantasy. Still the show does not take it's self to seriously and that is the magic. It was an entertaining show that I wish could have lasted longer.
