ThiefHott Too much of everything
BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
kin865 This was a very short-lived detective series starring Charles Durning as Oscar Poole who ran a detective agency and his daughter, Stephanie Faracy as Tracy Doyle, whose husband was murdered at the start of the series, and wanted to help hunt down the murder of her husband. In the process she found she loved detective work so much, that she joined her father's agency - hence the title Eye to Eye refers to private 'eyes'. The irony is that the phrase 'eye to eye' usually implies two people who see things alike. However in this series, Oscar was a tough guy from the old school and his daughter was more refined and was clumsy and ill-suited for on-foot and car chases and the hard work that crime fighting required. The series therefore made out Tracy to be a bit of a klutz who often fell down and stumbled along during chases. The show also seemed to lampoon other shows which portray high-heeled women as both very tough and very feminine who can run everywhere in high heels. On at least two occasions - once trying to run up the long set of steps into the court house and again chasing a suspect across the park, she had a shoe come off two or three times - the latter being caused by her spiked heels on her pumps digging into the wet ground. The show was actually a spring filler intended for only 6 episodes and the audience was apparently not large enough to justify ABC from picking it up for the 1985 fall season. The series has to my knowledge never been shown anywhere in syndication/reruns since 1985 so if you missed it, unfortunately the show is gone forever.I personally enjoyed the show and was sad it was not continued after the initial run.
