MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Terrance Earle I was watching the show over the tv and you can tell the cast of contestants is entirely hired. Much of the stuff a contestant of put through are not even legally applicable. So they acquire individuals who sign a non-disclosurer agreement and vetted. These are often individuals who play in commercials or stock photo ads. The stuff asked for questions have as much intelligent reference as People or gossip magazine. You can tell that it's also rigged by the fact the rules are rigged. The last part where individuals line up and asked questions before they fall is so fake because its not fair or balanced way to determine a contestant deserves the prize as it always gives the last contestant the unfair advantage over the rest. All they have to do is survive where as all contestants should be asked one at a time but not sent immediately down until all contestants have been asked questions. However for the sake of entertainment they hire a cast and speed up the results for fast fed media bullshit.
cbbrown-55399 I am not a fan of gameshows in general. However, I really enjoyed this so far. It isn't like typical US gameshow fare. I've seen others say, and I have to agree, that it is very much like the Japanese game shows. It is outrageous, it is very physical, and it serves up the laughs. Right now, it is the perfect addition to the evening lineup. This fills the need for an evening show that families can watch together. Ellen is always funny and charming, even when she's about to drop someone thirty feet into a pool of gross mush. It is not at all cerebral. It will not stimulate a single neuron in your brain. If that is what you want, you should watch Jeopardy. But if you want to laugh for no reason, an excellent choice. I'm giving this a top score because it is exactly what it is supposed to be, not rating it low because it isn't something it didn't pretend to be. If I were to give advice on how it could be better, Ellen could throw in some more one-liners so it doesn't rely only on physical comedy for laughs.
kenmay139 Can a show with this many special effects and so obviously scripted be truthfully called a "reality show?" This game seems mainly crafted to be a showcase for Ellen's standup and sitcom type of one liner humor.
homesickalien81 After less than 15 minutes of this show it was obvious that that this game show's "contestants" are clearly actors. Who is this show pandering to? I'm guessing it's the general population who have the IQ of a rock. Enjoy.
