Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
rlamanna00 The most memorable episode of this show, in my humble opinion, was that in which Ross dreamed that he was in the Brady dimension in which he and his Brady brethren were doomed to fix bikes and comment that things were neat-o. Not only was it a funny episode but obviously caught the eye of the producers of the Brady Bunch Movies insofar as Christopher Daniel Barnes, the actor who played Ross on 'Day By Day', was cast as Greg Brady in the aforementioned movies. Although most of this actor's work has resulted in little critical acclaim, I have somehow followed his career quite closely having been a fan of 'Starman', 'Day By Day' and of course, the Brady Movies in which Ben Stiller's wife stole the show as Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!
knock7785 I thought this show was a little better than most late 80-early 90's sitcoms. I still prefer sitcoms from the 50, 60 & 70's but Linda Kelsey was good and Julia Louise-Dreyfuss is always a pleasure to watch. The oldest son Ross was a hoot. Classic episode- Ross watches a Brady Bunch marathon instead of studying and dreams himself into a Brady episode. Ironic since Christopher Daniel Barnes would play Greg in the Brady big screen movies! I have always enjoyed anything Brady! Day By Day should be rerun by somebody or at least made available on video. This is a show I would rather watch than a lot of the bland shows that they are putting out now.
collegedude3 I remember watching it when it came on in the late 80s when I was about 10, and saw re-runs on tv land in the fall of 1999. The show is not really funny at all, except for the scenes with the hard career driven overbearing business woman who is ruthless, obnoxious yet funny. She looks pretty damn good. ANyway the occasional appearance from the oldest son is somewhat amusing. My favortie episode is the one where Eileen goes back to her highschool re-union and takes the kid from the brady bunch with her as her date. There, she dances look a crazy fool that she is, and ditches her date at the ball to be with a guy she had a crush on in highschool, only to break her date's feelings. And from my recollection, queen elizabeth is portrayed. Don't remember the details too much of da show but its funny. Too bad they dont show rereuns....
noizeegirl On an episode of "Day By Day" Ross, played by C.B. Barnes (as he was know at the time) falls asleep while watching a Brady Bunch Marathon on television. While asleep he dreams that he is the fourth Brady son "Chuck". Chuck is requested by his father to get out of Ross' ever present blue bathrobe and to get a perm as "all Brady men have perms". Chuck has a run in with nearly every Brady kid, including a very pregnant Marsha, and as you would imagine hilarity ensues. Coincidentally, in 1994 Christopher Daniel Barnes (as he is now referred to) was tapped to play the role of oldest brother Greg Brady in director Betty Thomas' "The Brady Bunch Movie" a role he recreated for the 1996 sequel aptly titled "A Very Brady Sequel".
