Synopsis

Darcy's Wild Life is an American-Canadian television series, filmed during 2004-2006, and broadcast on Discovery Kids and the Family Channel. The show revolves around Darcy Fields, the daughter of an eccentric actress who decides to move away from Malibu to raise her daughter in a more normal environment. Darcy is slow to adjust to her new home in the country. She gets a job at a local veterinary clinic called Creature Comforts. The show is mostly about the humorous situations Darcy gets into while adjusting to her new surroundings. Darcy's Wild Life aired daily on the Discovery Kids Channel until its cancellation. The show's title is a pun on the word "wildlife", which is the main theme of the show. The title refers to Darcy's eccentric life dealing with wildlife. Many episodes also had titles based on puns, such as "Puppy Love", "Swine Flew the Coop", "Knockin' on Heaven's Doggie Door" or "The Trouble with Truffles".

BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Huievest Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
SnoopyStyle Victoria Fields is a Hollywood actress who moves to the country with her daughter Darcy Fields (Sara Paxton). Darcy is a fish out of water. She gets a job at the animal clinic Creature Comforts run by Dr. Kevin Adams. She befriends the daughter reasonable Lindsay, young Jack Adams, the bumbling Eli, and sweet Kathi Giraldi. This is a smaller kids show filmed in Canada. It's a lot of wacky characters doing wacky things. There are lesson to learn and friends to make. There are two things I like about this show more than the standard Disney kids shows. It doesn't take place in an artificial colorful indoor set. It's outdoors half the time. It also has lots of little animals. It's more organic. Sara Paxton is good as the Hollywood girl. The kids are nice. It's a nice show.
starry-eyed-girl Okay, I think Darcy's Wild Life is a good show with a fresh idea. A teen girl who's the daughter of a movie star is living the good life until her mom decides she wants to try a different sort of life and they move to a small town called Bailey. There, Darcy gets a job at a vet's office, and it's a pretty good show. When i first started watching it, i thought it was boring, but when i watched it more, i loved it!!! It seems like it's the typical story of rich-girl-moves-to-country, but it's different and it's a really good show. Every episode is almost always different, and there are really good actors in the show and a lot of them are pretty good singers as well. Darcy's Wild Life is a pretty good show.
Ragnarok-5 Why isn't Melanie Leishman on the list of actors who are on the show? She is in the opening credits, and she is in a fair number of the episodes. Sure, she does not have a big role in the series. The little kid is in more scenes than her. Still, she is a part of the show. So could you please add her to the list of actors on IMDb.com? I tried looking her up and its as if she does not exist.I'll give an alternative review of whoever gave their review of this show since I have to give 10 lines for a comment. I think this is a nice show, and is better than Lizzie McGuire. I don't think this will be the greatest show of all time, but its cute, and its fun to watch. Its a lot more entertaining than that Simple Life.
galinda Okay, I've only seen two episodes of this show so far so maybe it's too quick to judge but so far I'm just not seeing the potential. This show is made by the same producers of the uber hit Lizzie McGuire and I've seen articles saying they expect the star Sara Paxton to break out similar to Hilary Duff. I am far from a Hilary fan but I do admit she has an on screen charisma and charm. Sara is okay in the role of the fish out of water city girl who is forced to move to small town America, but I'm not feeling star power. Maybe it's the weak script or the overdone premise, but I'm not buying it. What saved Lizzie McGuire is an overall decent ensemble cast which kept things lively and interesting even when the plots became absurd. Darcy's Wild Life does not have this. Shannon Collis does a good job as Lindsay and I think she is more interesting than the main character, but overall the cast has limited chemistry. As I said, it's early goings to maybe it will get better but so far, I'll pass.
