Synopsis

Atlantis High is a teen comedy TV show, shot in New Zealand in 2001. The plot revolves around 16-year-old Giles Gordon, who has just moved to Sunset Cove, "a beautiful coastal surfing town where the sun is always shining, the people are all beautiful and everything is perfect... or so it seems." He enrolls in Atlantis High School, where he soon discovers that Sunset Cove is unlike any town he's ever seen: populated by double-agents, aliens and high school students with blue hair and pointy ears, its inhabitants are eccentric lunatics who at times turn into superheroes or other whimsical figures. Atlantis High both parodies soap operas and pays homage to spoof television.

Reviews

GurlyIamBeach Instant Favorite.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Matt Crowley This is probably the weirdest show I have ever seen. It might just possibly be worth watching. It's certainly worth knowing about and talking to people about. It is funny in a juvenille sort of way. It's bizarrely appealing. I have no idea what the plot is or what is going on in any way at all. But I still watched it. Would I recommend it? Yes... kind of.
had_me_at_goodbye So, out of boredom I was flipping through channels one day and I came across a show I had never seen or even heard of before. I started watching and was instantly trapped in a world of bizarre secret service agents and aliens. Wow, why is this show so addicting? It's like insane, you watch every episode every time it comes on and you still have no idea what the heck is going on. I watch it every chance i get, much to the annoyance of my family, my sister screams every time she comes in the room when it's on, my dad thinks I'm insane for watching something this incredibly annoying, but I can't help it. Atlantis High is like one of the best shows on television. It's ridiculously hard to follow, but insanely captivating. Michael Wesley Smith is adorable, and his character's awkwardness in "Sunset Cove" is too easy to relate to. The other character's dimness is hilarious as well as their other quirky characteristics. You seriously cannot get enough of Atlantis High once you start watching it.
musiqchic07 Does anybody actually understand this show? I found it since it comes on right after my new favorite TV show, The Tribe. A lot of the same talented actors from Tribe are up here, too, but unlike Tribe, I find the plotlines very difficult to follow. But I've resigned myself to the fact that Atlantis High is just a very bizarre show and I'm never going to understand it all of the time. So I'll just sit there confused until the end of the show when, suddenly, it all makes sense and I think "Hey, this was a great show."
Slopmaster4001 I have to admit I accidentally found this show one day after getting off of work early and was hooked instantly. This show is way to bizarre for the average viewer but fits me like a three fingered glove. Now I have only seen two episodes and have no clue what's really going on but that doesn't really matter. Its strange and as a fan of Lexx my void has been filled so here's hoping they find the lost city.
