Reviews

Lawbolisted Powerful
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Jima-36-585491 Why do producers insist on taking a four episode concept and extending it to 13 episodes?
david hollyfield Just binge watched the entire series because it IS that addictive.Dominic Monaghan does a pretty good impersonation of a haunted Irish/New York cop who buddies with Sweden's Michael Nyqvist in a very compelling, if somewhat typical, Nordic serial killer hunt.I'm a sucker for the genre, I read every thing I can get my hands on and this series is far from disappointing. Surprisingly, to me at least, I have never heard of the author who's novels this series is based on.The gimmick of pulling a NYPD detective into the mix gives the producers the leeway to have a lot of the dialogue in English making the series far more accessible to the linguistically challenged among us viewers. It has all the tropes we fans of the genre love. Plenty of action, developed character arcs and good old detection.Highly recommended.
tavikitty Michael Nyqvist carries the entire show and he is the only reason I continued to watch beyond the first episode. I gave it three more stars than I would have, had it not been for his tremendous and realistic acting achievement, despite everyone around him acting like weird, awkward robots. I wanted to give him ten stars, but the show is truly awful and the rating needs to reflect that.I am sad to say I don't really have many positive things to say about anything or anyone involved in this project other than Michael Nyqvist. When they decided to make a show in Sweden, why did they not hire local people for the production? As a person who has lived in Stockholm my entire life, it was ridiculous how it was shot and how they altered environments instead of working with what the city actually looks like. The approach was very Americanized and "Hollywood", which makes me wonder why they even wanted to shoot in in Sweden or use a bunch of Swedish dialogue, since it seems to have been exclusively aimed at an American audience.I feel like they tried to ride the coat tails of popular Scandinavian shows and somehow replicate the mood and the success, but along with other shows that have failed to do this, they lacked understanding of what makes those shows what they are. For a good example of a successful international production look at Bron, which is amazing partly because it respects the culture and behaviours of the various characters portrayed in the show - Swedish people act like Swedes, Danish people act like Danes and the exteriors as well as interiors mirror the way people actually live in respective places, making it very organic and believable. Everything that 100 Code was not.P.S. It might have worked if they had a plot twist where it turned out that most of the characters where aliens or androids, since it would explain why most people apart from Mikael and hos daughter were being so stiff, emotionless and weird all the time.. camilla-62273 What a refreshing plot on the serial killer theme! Great actors and a fantastic setting in beautiful Stockholm. It is absolutely recommendable to spend some leisure time with this show!! Now just hoping for a second season ❤️👯🔫📺It ends with a hang liner introducing the major player LH in a city far from Sweden ( the city contains buildings like Crystler building and Empire hint hint). The layers of killers is a new and interesting theme. The mix between sexual and non- sexual drives of the different killers, a sufficient insight into the private lives of the involved police officers and the suspense level is excellent.
