ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
BeSummers Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
theking-16 I like this movie . a story about Love and racism , a story about the gangs that live in the capital of Portugal , Lisbon . The Portuguese cinema is weak . Its one of the best Portuguese films i ever saw, but there are not many good movies made in Portugal . Of course this movie its not perfect , far from that , but its pretty cool the final result , lets not forget that we are talking about a Portuguese film . The actors are young , but they did a good job. We could not expect more from this movie , the Portuguese cinema doesn't have money , but the movie have some parts that are pretty cool , like i said , for a Portuguese Film . I think that " Jaime " is a better movie than this one .
Dockelektro Well, I must say that this movie is really good for people who don't want to claim much from portuguese cinema... not me, as all the time I see this movie I think "we could have been bigger". But hey, I don't want to destroy this one, the movie still has its moments, like the car chase (hey a portuguese action scene), and some lines from the actors. I also admire the fact that it was filmed in the real spot, and many of the actors are real people from the ghetto... but the movie still hits real low levels as a moment of love is cut by the scent of the protagonist's brother's sneakers... Well, good effort, I take my hat, but next time add as much money and refine the script.
arc_gabriel i have just seen it yesterday, so it's still fresh in my mind first thing:it's one of the best, if not the very best, portuguese movie i've ever seen. it's not perfect, far from that, but for the portuguese stadarts, i think, it's very good it's a rather simple story taking place in our modern society, in a big city, that makes us think about life, feelings, racism and love. the acting is good, the beginning is great, but the end , well, it was unexpected . a movie can't end like that! but real life can, and that's what this movie is about: life
