Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
rsj_131 All those great reviews must be paid for, or by people from Denmark. No plot, random as hell. Not rated for a reason. Zombie film without zombies wtf? Don't develop characters at all! So sad that I had to keep writing in this review because IMDb requires at least 5 lines of text. I ran out of things to say about this movie so I'll just say that I have two dogs. One is a lab/pit mix and the other is a Yorkshire terrier. The lab poops far from the patio which is good but for some reason I can't get the terrier to stop pooping so close to the patio. It's annoying.
Emil Sørensen I went into this movie with low expectations because i knew this was a low budget movie. But i was still surprised about how bad this movie was. First of all, the movie has a lot of bad acting from some actors in Denmark who are popular actors normally. The movie escalated from 1 to 1000 in 5 minute's. Without any story. Even the story in those 5 minute's where awful, and did not make any sense. If i have to say something good about this movie, it would be that the zombie actors did well. They could have stared in The Walking Dead without any problems. So, a movie with a bad story, awful acting, and that escalates from 1 to 1000 in 5 minute's without and story. Please, don't waste your time with this movie.
kosmasp For some this might have been a bit over-hyped. And I get that with great expectations, comes great disappointment. But if you try to keep in mind, that this is a low budget production and that it doesn't re-invent the wheel, than you may be able to have a really good time watching this. Because there is tension, there is drama, there is horror, but there is also comedy to be found here. The characters are very nicely drawn and portrayed by the actors. You still get clichés and you will see things coming. So while this far away from perfect, it can be a nice/decent night in movie to watch. Expect nothing more and you'll be entertained as well
Nolafilmmaker By now, you probably know the plot: a family of four is quarantined inside their neighborhood as a mysterious flu-like virus begins to spread. The good: the film is nicely shot and doesn't have the cheapness of a low-budget. The acting was very good and the characters (for the most part), were not stereotypes. The bad: the film isn't really very scary. A lot of the supposed scary scenes were shot in broad daylight in bright sunshine, which really didn't scare me. Though the film wasn't very scary, what really ruined the movie for me was this...Unfortunately, the film was ruined for me by one monumentally stupid decision taken by one of the characters which pretty much set the entire zombie apocalypse in motion.I won't spoil what that decision was or when it happened, but when characters do insanely stupid things in a movie, it really takes me out of the film and ruins it. Had the zombie apocalypse happened in some other way, that would have worked much better. All in all, a decent effort which would have been much better had it not been for the stupidity of one of the main characters.
