Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
sid-coolking A film with all parameters being pitch perfect and that what makes it more than watchable one alongside there is just a song in the start that is irritating but that doesn't hamper it...Kamal Hassan is the heart of the whole movie and his performance is top class followed by Rahul Bose who reminded me of Thakshak, his first negative role, though he was menacing and his look was enough to either laugh and get scared...Another person worth mentioning is Jaideep Ahlawat who played the role of Salim and must say he has a bright future ahead as he had done some roles after this movie like Aakrosh, Gangs of Wasseypur, Gabbar is Back, Raazi etc where his acting talent is evitable...Screenplay is gripping and keep u involved throughout and direction is excellent...Mobidity and bloodshed is there which may not appeal to the female section that might come as the biggest flaw and it's a totally serious movie with lack of entertainment value which nowadays is the demand and once not seen then the audience dejects it... A fare not to be missed for action lovers and Kamal Hassan's fans...A sure shot winner and don't care whether worked on the box office or not but it did hit me fully and I expect a film like this to create such an impression...
Prashast Singh Movie : Vishwaroop (U/A)Rating : 4.5/5Kamal Haasan is an excellent actor, we know that. He's a good writer, we know that too. He's a good director as well, we even know that. And for those who don't know, we recommend watching VISHWAROOP. Once you will watch it, you will not be able to forget it. It's an unforgettable, thrilling and adventurous action film that can't be described easily in words.First things first. VISHWAROOP is not a dubbed film from south. It's a straight Bollywood film. Therefore, original Hindi cinema lovers can definitely watch it without thinking much. It's a story about crime, hatred, and what all leads to a war. Right from the beginning frame, Kamal Haasan wins you over as a writer and a director. His creativity angle in the story makes it at par with world cinema. Since it's an action thriller full of suspense and surprises, it won't be good to disclose anything about the story of the film. It's better to watch it on your own to realize how great this film is. The story and screenplay both are amazing, and you wonder how come an actor can write such an interesting story with an even engaging screenplay. The visual effects are very nice and the camera work is top notch. Especially, the scenes of war and the fight sequences look amazing and you wish to just react in surprise. And yes, the action sequences are excellently choreographed and executed, and they look a treat to watch.Kamal Haasan finally comes with a Hindi film after a long time. He is the soul of the film. The way he acts and reacts, gives the film an extra boost. Pooja Kumar thankfully has an important role unlike all heroines and she plays it well. Same for Andrea Jeremiah, who too has an impressive part and plays it well, till the end. Rahul Bose as the antagonist is menacing in several sequences. The other cast too leaves the desired impact. The music is surprisingly excellent. The background score and all songs deserve a 100% rating. The title track is the best one. And the best part is that the editing is also very good, the songs do appear only when needed. There are several scenes that deserve special mention. Many time freeze sequences are filmed very well, and they add to the curiosity and tension of the scene. Very well played, indeed! On the whole, VISHWAROOP is an unforgettable experience that deserves to be watched and loved by all audiences. It's a kind of film never seen before and it has got all the stuff to entertain and enthrall you. What then? Just go, and watch!
yadaven VIshwaroopam is one the best movies of 2013 and of all time. The plot of this movie is very interesting with twists and turns and a lot of flashbacks. Without a sequel, this movie wouldn't have had the critical acclaim it has received so far. The acting of the lead roles were pretty impressive. the music was pretty good but not up to expectations. The only reason,in my opinion, this movie was successful is the intensity of the plot and the successful effect of "thrill". WIthout these very important elements, this movie would have been another on of those cheesy movies that were flops i.e. Sura. There still were very minor flaws in the otherwise perfect movie. First, the flashbacks got a little bit confusing towards the end of the story. Second, if movie was a little bit shorter, it might have made a bigger impact. Finally, the actors could have stepped up their performance a tiny bit more.
subrat-dwibedi Although technically competent, the movie lacks severely in most other areas, especially the screenplay. The story is highly clichéd and even feels confused at many occasions. This is a Tamil version of mindless action flicks such as Reddy, Bodyguard etc. However, Kamal Hassan's portrayal of a feminine dance teacher is extraordinary and is the only thing worth watching in the film. All the other actors play clichéd characters leaving much to be desired for in both depth of character as well as acting. Rahul Bose fails miserably in playing the role of a terrorist reinforcing the popular belief that he is only good in playing urban English speaking intellectual roles. The high rating in IMDb.com is misleading. But then this movie is perhaps in the same league as Mithun Da's highly rated movie "Gunda" (it had IMDb rating of 10/10 at one point of time!). I would recommend watching this film only for hard core Kamal Hassan fans.
