CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
ShangLuda Admirable film.
BeSummers Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
tocfba Does little to none to show how many crimes are stopped by armed citizens. I don't have the numbers in front of me but it is at least 3 times more crimes stopped than crimes committed.
wangchung9 If I could give this a ZERO, It would be a Zero. Deletions, lies, Inaccurate information. Nothing is right with this 'film' and it sure isn't a documentary. total BS and left wing propaganda. If you really want to see how hard it is to buy a gun legally, go and do it. Especially you guys that live in the northeast and left coast. there is no gun show loophole. BS. This is a Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHT! More so than 95% of the legislated rights that are pushed now. film is so deceptive it isn't even funny. Yes, I care about murders, but sandy hook was a mentally deranged person who STOLE a gun, first killed his MOTHER and then others. Not a person that BOUGHT a gun legally. Nor picked one up at a gun show. NO law could have prevented this crime. Put the mentally ill, (and yes he WAS mentally ill) in a nice padded cell where they can't HARM the public. nor themselves.
gilmoreross As a film, Under the Gun is a just an average, slow-moving narrative. What makes it an exceptionally poor piece of film making however, is the fact that it is marketed and described as an objective and balanced documentary on the subject of gun control, when it is in fact nothing of the sort. This is plain and simple, a propaganda piece. The official website of the film actually comes with links about how to lobby for more gun control laws. At no point does the film attempt to present an actual balanced view on the subject. This is anti-gun propaganda, so thinly veiled that it comes across as lazy. Recently revealed information showing biased editing of interviews with pro 2nd Amendment activists, intentionally designed to inaccurately make them appear stumped by the questions, is as disappointing as it is not surprising. This is not journalism, and this is not a documentary. If you are looking for a balanced and fact based documentary on the subject of gun control, this is absolutely not the film for you.
Robert McBride Almost pure chicanery from start to finish. Katie Couric and crew do their best to further Bloomberg's anti-liberty agenda. Half truths, deliberate omissions, and shady editing are the hallmark of this "Documentary" The most glaring example of shady editing is found during the dialog and footage with the members of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. The cutting room floor must be littered with knowledge that the people behind this film desperately does not want their base to know about. If you are wanting to watch a hundred and ten minute assault on liberty and the Bill of Rights you need not look any longer because you found it. I recommend reading the Federalist Paper number forty six before you watch this to give you something else to consider.
