Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Paul Magne Haakonsen Growing up with action movies, I never really got around to watching Cynthia Rothrock for some reason. And I happened to come across this movie by sheer random luck in the local secondhand DVD store. And at $2, expectations weren't high. Now having seen this movie already, I can say that it is a very stereotypical action and martial arts movie from the early 1990's. How so? Well, the typical 'you messed with my family, now I want revenge' scenario plots. But also the forced choreography of the fights, it just doesn't have a very natural flow to the fighting. And while on the topic of fighting and martial arts, then the stuff displayed in "Undefeatable" was actually quite alright, and did take away some focus from the wooden acting. And, of course, you have your obligatory fighting sequences that are shown in slow motion. As I am not familiar with Cythia Rothrock's work in general, then I will say that she was able to perform the fight sequences quite well and with grace, but the acting was somewhat rough around the edges."Undefeatable" isn't a particular mind-boggling or riveting movie, and if you like martial arts movies then there are far better ones available from now or even back in the 1990's as well.
leonardconstantin61 i've saw a different version of this movie called BLOODY MARY KILLER which is different in 3 cases than UNDEFEATABLE: 1.the movie starts with Cynthia rothrock using a sword to let us know how good is she at the demonstrations with weapons 2.it is a fight scenes at the beginning involving Cynthia rothrock and robin shou which not appears on undefeatable 3.that scene when john miller was telling Cynthia that he knows who killed her sister and after a few seconds Cynthia laughs and she was asking miller if they can take her car this scene is different on Asian edition was cuted a lil' bit so the laugh and the idea of Cynthia to take her car were cut off.so i think there 3 good improvements to the movie these 3 changes and i think that made the film better.i have BLOODY MARY KILLER from a friend.i think you'll like this version better
celticfan1128 OK, Let me begin by saying that if you don't get the reference in the above comment, you haven't seen the end of this movie. If you haven't seen the end of this movie, you actually are missing out on the experience of a lifetime.Like many people, I was introduced to this movie through the internet - in fact, the video I watched was tagged 'worst fight scene of all time'. I sat there and watched maybe the most amazingly awful fight scene ever for the best four odd minutes of my life. Never has something so undeniably bad been so entertaining. I, of course, opted to get the film however I could. It just so happened that a friend of mine shared my passion, and purchased this on Amazon. So, the film itself. It stars essentially a bunch of actorss no mainstream movie fan will know, with the exception of Cynthia Rothrock of course. John Miller, Don Niam and Don Niam's mullet fill in the remaining main character spots. It has been said before, but just so you know Cynthia Rothrock is the best actor in this movie. This is saying something, because her acting is at times melodramatic (at best) and downright over the top at worst - see the morgue scene for an example of that.John Miller plays Sergeant Nick DeMarco, delivering such gems as 'You have the right to remain silent...so do me a favor and shut up!' He may be a terrible actor (this is his last movie appearance according to this site) but he definitely helps the film on its path to greatness.Don Niam, Don Niam, Don Niam. I actually do not know what to say. Any of the actual non-fighting scenes he appears in are pure gold. He essentially plays an emotionally disturbed champion fighter 'Stingray' who loses it when his wife leaves him, then goes around killing people who look like her. And removing their eyes for good measure. I actually won't spoil his most entertaining scenes, but be prepared for such things as a HILARIOUSLY badly acted flashback to his childhood, and the disturbing underlying fact that he essentially has a hardon for his own mother. As a cheesy 90' action movie, this film would not be complete without its fight sequences. The early fights are hilarious, due more so to the dialogue during them (the 'something for free' scene springs to mind). By and large, the fights scenes are terrible bar a few. The martial arts demonstration scenes are possibly the most professional thing about this film, and the Stingray vs. Random car park guy fight actually features camera-work and a fighting move that's suspiciously similar to one of Mortal Kombat's fatalities. The final fight, the aforementioned 4 minutes of pure, raw manliness, is also hilarious as well as entertaining. Who exactly doesn't like the idea of arbitrarily ripping your shirt off for a fight? I also love how Godfrey Ho half-assedly attempted to introduce some kind of ironic resolution in that stingray ends up getting a nail and a hook in the eye, after all those eyes he so gruesomely removed himself. Instead of realising this, the audience is more likely to react in some way akin to 'wait a minute, did he just get lifted that high of the ground by a freaking HOOK? in the EYE?' OK, so the acting is bad, choreography terrible (see the final fight again, in which the closeups look so very fake) and the plot itself is weak. However, it is a B movie and it shows. If you look past all the bogey bits, and see the actual hilarious spectacle that is Undefeatable, you'll have friends over for a side splitting evening of sheer (if homoerotic) manliness.
HaemovoreRex The mighty Godfrey Ho (hiding behind the name Hall here) proves once again just why he is held in such high esteem amongst bad movie lovers with this typically entertaining flick that features Kung Fu queen Cynthia Rothrock and surely one of the most memorable psychopaths ever committed to celluloid! Said loony (played hilariously OTT by Don Niam) is raping, torturing, mutilating and killing women who bear any resemblance to his wife who quite understandably walked out on him due to his somewhat antisocial ways. One of his victims however, turns out predictably to be the feisty Ms Rothrock's sister thus prompting our high kicking heroine to seek revenge. Along the way she is helped by a good hearted cop (who also just happens to be a martial arts expert and muscle man to boot!)......In fact, oddly enough, everyone and their uncle in this flick seems to be adept at martial arts!Yep, joyous action is very much on the bill here with some pretty good fight sequences including one in which our mad villain rips out some poor guys eyeballs and knocks him over an upper story of a car park (an excellent stunt) and of course the obligatory finale in which both macho male leads go toe to toe (after ripping off their shirts!) in the basement of a hospital.Great fun from start to finish and amazingly for Ho, this is in fact a FULL, yes I repeat a FULL film, not a cut & paste effort(!!!) Truly, we are honoured Godfrey!
