best movie i've ever seen.
Sexyloutak
Absolutely the worst movie.
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

If you have read Mitch Albom's book, like I had, you will not be at all disappointed. Jackson has done a tremendous job of transposing a truly wonderful story into film. Albom portrays the relationship between a young man (himself) and his mentor (Morrie Schwartz). The film transpires through the last few weeks of Morrie's life, and vividly recreates the final lessons of the former professor, in the throes of Lou Gehrigs disease. As one imagines how heart-warming it must have been for Albom to experience such a relationship first-hand, we can only try to draw from his inspiration and the tales conveyed in the film. A truly beautiful story - 10/10.I strongly recommend that you read the book.

Even though Oprah funded / supported this film with the change she had in her left pocket, her involvement in making this film possible was worthy. Jack Lemmon gives another brilliant / unrecognized performance as Morrie, the old friend and teacher who is preparing himself to die. Hank Azaria is surprisingly good as well. For a change, Azaria moves away from his work in comedy and many of his character driven roles to play a heart-filled character. By the second half of the movie, you forget that he is the voice of many Simpson characters. The ending of this movie is worth watching this movie again and again and again. If you have ever had to say goodbye to a loved one, you will understand and be a fan of Tuesdays with Morrie.

This is one of those rare television events that didn't dumb itself down in order to reach a wider audience. It stayed true to the book and the only complaint I could see were minor problems with pacing. All-in-all, I regard this work as what I hope television will become but am fearful these types of shows will remain the exception.

I and my wife liked everything about this movie. The actors seemed well chosen. The acting was sensitive and remarkable. The filming was one of those you like with soft warm colors, yet clear, with asides of things like beautiful autumn leaves and rain on windows. Whether a Jack Lemon fan or not you should appreciate him in this. I've read the non-fiction book and the movie follows it well; whether you've read the book or not you should find this movie touching and rewarding.
