The Age of Commercialism
Dynamixor
The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Zandra
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Jakoba
True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

This is a deceptively clever short film that you must see. Although it starts somewhat slow, it is so well executed and clever a film that by the end you marvel that those who made the film are relatively inexperienced at this. The film begins with a guy going to an electronics store where it's obvious that people running it are crooks. You know, the type place that advertises amazing specials ("we just sold the last one...but I have ANOTHER model for just a bit more...") and ridiculous no refunds policies. However, in an interesting twist, these sleazy operators have the wool pulled over their eyes and for once, they are the ones who are left holding the proverbial bag. How all this happens is just something you'll need to see for yourself--I don't want to spoil the suspense. Just understand that the camera-work and split-second timing make this film a real winner--not to be missed.
