"The Principle" brings to light astonishing new scientific observations challenging the Copernican Principle; the foundational assumption underlying the modern scientific world view. The idea that the Earth occupies no special or favored position in the cosmos has launched the last two scientific revolutions - the Copernican Revolution and Relativity - and, as Lawrence Krauss has said, we could be on the verge of a third, with "Copernicus coming back to haunt us". Interviews with leading cosmologists are interspersed with the views of dissidents and mavericks, bringing into sharp focus the challenges and implications not only for cosmology, but for our cultural and religious view of reality.

Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
jamestoledano Lawrence Krauss himself had no idea he was in such a film. Someone basically brought the rights to a bunch of clips of him talking about geocentrism and what a load of rubbish is was and edited the context right out of it. Here is a post written by Lawrence on this very subject. Google "the principle Lawrence Krauss" and look at the 2nd link which is to a slate.com piece he wrote...Just another example of how religion tries to kill all curiosity because it is petrified of the truth: we are not special, our planet exists by pure chance, our sun is puny (and in fact is the source of life so worship that) and there is nobody keeping score and nobody cares about the fates and actions of humans. Everything you have ever been and ever will be is of no importance to the universe so deal with it...
mollymillions What an awful case of religious propaganda disguised as science. Much pseudo science employed to try an spread disinformation. The makers of the movie should be prosecuted for implying this theory is scientific (and I think they were) and trying to make the masses dumber than they already are. Shame on you.
tmjf Did you know that the most recent data from satellite probes sent up in the 1990s and 2000s show that the whole universe is aligned with both the Earth-sun ecliptic and the Earths's equator, showing that our universe is geocentrically oriented with Earth at the center? The Earth is not lost in space as Carl Sagan suggest. Did you know that the most recent data from telescopes show that galaxies and many other celestial objects such as quasars and gamma ray bursts are oriented around the Earth in concentric spheres? Did you know that every scientific proof for an Earth revolving around the sun and rotating on an axis has been discredited and there has never been an experiment that has provided proof that the Earth is moving?
sojourner1270 This is an excellent thought-provoking documentary, well worth watching, that presents in a very balanced manner the discussion surrounding the discovery, twice confirmed, of what has been dubbed by the fearful as "the axis of evil" in the cosmic microwave background. Contrary to the idea of Earth being insignificant, this line in the CMB seems to be something of a stage spotlight shining upon Earth. The discovery of this axis in the CMB is remarkable, the magnitude of which will take years to study and fully appreciate. Nonetheless, I think the next time I see a beautiful sunset, or have occasion to look up into the night-time sky in a dark place, when it seems as if you could reach up and touch the stars, I will more greatly appreciate not only the wonder of the moment, but the ability to experience that wonder. There is, I think, something very reassuring in that ability, and it does not speak of chaotic chance.
