BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Borserie it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.
AutCuddly Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Saurabh Mishra One of the best series ever. Sad that they didn't come out with the 2nd season for it. It's an all round series with equal spreading of Suspense, Thrill, Excellent Plot line and Characters. The story really keeps you guessing till the end, never becoming predictable or boring. The concept of an all providing room was really unique for it's time but that aside, the way the writers have woven together a universe around it in so few an episodes is also commendable. Usually 6 episodes is too few to really get you hooked on, but that's definitely not the case with this one. Hope you like it as much as i did and pray for it's return with a second season.
blanche-2 Peter Krause, Julianna Margulies, Peter Jacobson, Elle Fanning, Margaret Cho, Harriet Samson Harris, Dennis Christopher, Kevin Pollak, and Roger Bart are featured in this 2008 sci-fi miniseries.Krause plays Detective Joe Miller, who, during a murder case, comes across a motel key. When he opens the room, it turns out to be a portal to another dimension or alternate universe. If he puts something in the room and leaves, when he returns, the room has "reset" and the item is gone. His daughter goes into the room and disappears,as the room resets because she, the occupant, does not have the key. Joe is desperate to find her and goes into a full investigation of the room and anyone involved with it.He learns that there are special objects that did not look special that have special powers. It could be anything, combs, pens, cards, bus tickets, watches -- each can do something, for instance, quickly get you to another place, stop time, put people to sleep, open doors. And in combination, they can do even more. There are over 100 of them, and everyone is after them, particularly one man (Kevin Pollak) who will do anything to get them.I'm usually not one for science fiction, but this was an intriguing premise and it was well done. Peter Krause and Julianna Margulies turn in wonderful performances, as do Roger Jacobson and Kevin Pollak. I looked at some reviews and it appears this was supposed to be a series. I guess nothing happened with it. It's a shame as it was very good and certainly had potential to continue.
Fabio Baldan This review has heavy spoilers for the whole story. Do not read if you haven't seen the whole show.I really liked the original concept behind this show. A room where "something happened" that created objects with different supernatural uses was great and for the most part I liked how the story was told, with the main character wanting to get his daughter back and the whole factions and groups that formed around the objects. But sadly it ended up being yet another example of writers that came up with a great idea but had no idea how to end it and how to give a logical answer to all the interesting mysteries they came up with. By the end most of it doesn't make sense anymore and the answer to most of the big mysteries ends up being "because the writers say so".One of the biggest mysteries of the whole show is what happened in the room, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who was intrigued with this and was expecting an answer. And when the times came for the big reveal the dialog went something like:"Did you create the objects? What happened in this room?" "No I didn't create them. It just happened".Turns out the writers had no idea how to finish their own story so they just went with "it just happened". And that's far from being the only question left unanswered, by the final chapter there are a ton of events that are never really explained. - Why would recreating the experiments of the collectors revive people? - What was the logic behind the daughter of the main character being trapped in "one of many rooms? - How did the main character recover his daughter by becoming an object? - ETCA part of me feels this show was left unfinished. A lot of the events from the final episode pointed towards a second seasons that never got released
VanillaLimeCoke Dennis Christopher described this show was like eating a bag of potato chips. You just can't stop. That IMO, is a bit of an understatement. It's more like eating your all time favorite chips that was around for a limited time only. The Lost Room is about a mini-series where this cop comes in touch with this key that will take you to a 1961 motel room through any door. Once in the room you can actually go anywhere you want, the beach, a motorcycle bar, Penn State football game, you name it.However complications arrive (not to mention that things were already complicated), when bad people want the key. Mainly a guy Karl had a guy buy it from a pawn shop for $2,000,000 and this other bad guy the Weasel stole it, but it then fell into the cop's hands. After a series of mishaps the cop's daughter goes missing in the room. However as the cop tries to get her back, he learns about these other objects that have other special powers. As the cop tries to get his daughter back he must try to trust the right people and learns more about the history of the motel. Need I say more. I don't want to spoil more. But if you like sci-fi fantasy mystery type shows, this show is definitely for you.
