Best movie ever!

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

AMAZING. different than the other kids movies that follow the same storyline.

This movie seemed to get a lot of hate for no reason. I really, truly enjoyed it. Sure, it wasn't really a faithful adaptation, but what really is? This movie has a great message about the environment and trees in the form of a little kid's movie. But just because it's for little kids doesn't mean I can't enjoy it too. I genuinely like the songs, particularly 'how bad can I be' though the others are really good too.The CGI isn't brilliant, but it's pretty convincing, and the movie looks really nice in general.

Plot - Both storylines in this movie are weak and full of holes. Characters - All the characters are extremely simplistic and dumb and inconsistent. The voice acting is pretty good though. Animation - The animation is cute and visually entertaining. Comedy - A lot of the jokes in this movie fall flat. Its nowhere near as funny as it could've been. Songs - This movie is a musical for some reason. One or two of the musical sequences are good, but most of them are pretty bad. Message - This movie tries to have a pro-environmental message, but its poorly executed.Overall, there is some entertainment to be found in this movie, but its mostly pretty dumb.

I'll make this review quick and honest: I did NOT enjoy it. Typically I am thrilled to sit through animated movies and feel nostalgic but this was just terrible. The first half-hour was a bit entertaining but then it just turned to be very boring, cheesy, sing-song kind of thing that leaves you anticipating the ending. I had high expectations considering that I actually enjoyed Horton Hears a Who! (2008)but this was not the same. One thing that really annoyed me the ENTIRE time was that the message of the movie was way to in-your-face. I think a good movie should integrate the meaning to make the audience really think for themselves. Corny jokes and humor, slow action that makes you groan, but the animation was pretty nice. Definitely not going for seconds, however.
