It is the year 2022. A mysterious systems failure causes the crew of a spaceship to be stranded on the dark side of the moon, while rapidly running out of fuel and oxygen. They are surprised to discover a NASA space shuttle floating in space, and board it in the hope of salvaging some supplies. One by one, the crew is possessed and killed, and it is up to Paxton Warner to find the links between the dark side of the moon, the Bermuda Triangle, and the Devil himself.

AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Mjeteconer Just perfect...
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Lela The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
iscream22 Just got done watching this average but decent science fiction horror flick. Im quite hammered on rum and cannabis and was looking for a cheesy scifi b movie and got what I bargained for. The story is reminiscent of alien/dead space and lots of other spaceship in distress films. The film has OK actors average special effects but the sets and claustrophobic atmosphere is what's cool about this flick. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this but if you see it in a bargain bin or on Netflix pick it up. It's not a bad way to kill some time. Personally I thought the villain could've been better and found the ending to be odd.Rated R for violence, brief nudity and some strong language
Cujo108 In the year 2022, SPACECORE 1 is a space vessel with a crew trained to repair nuclear-armed satellites. They are on their way to one such satellite near the moon when the ship suffers a mysterious systems failure. Without power and running out of oxygen fast, they also must worry about drifting towards Centrus B-40, otherwise known as the dark side of the moon. Not long into their dilemma, an old NASA space shuttle approaches and docks with their ship. Despite no signs of life on the shuttle, the SPACECORE crew need oxygen, so the captain and his second in command board the battered craft. They get the oxygen that they need, but they also get more than they bargained for when they discover the corpse of a NASA astronaut with a triangular hole in his stomach. Bringing the body back to their ship turns out to be a dire mistake, as something pure evil is using the dead man as a host. This is an excellent little sci-fi/horror gem that is far too under seen. The plot having to do with the dark side of the moon (obviously), the Bermuda Triangle, Satan, paranoia and possession is one of the most original I've ever come across. This thing has more imagination than years worth of big budget blockbusters put together. The execution is solid too, as the mystery unfolds amidst an eerie mood and seriously foreboding atmosphere. The film's look is appropriately dreary, a perfect fit for the bleak tone of the proceedings. Despite a tight budget, the effects are also well done. All around, this is one of the creepiest space films I've seen. A key asset in making it so is the film's score. Special mention to the opening credits, which are played against a screen of fire as the haunting score plays over them. The acting is fine and all of the characters are likable to some extent. Even Jennings, the hick with a screw loose, is appealing in an off the wall kind of way. Joe Turkel of Blade Runner and Kubrick fame is here as Paxton Warner, as is Robert Sampson from Re-Animator. As the film spirals towards its finale, I was completely enthralled. The ending is a great one, and very much in tone with the rest of the film. The final shot and voice-over is classic, and pretty damn eerie and hopeless all at the same time. This is a great film, one that deserves more recognition. I recommend seeking this out if you can. Its quite a shame that it flies below most people's radar.
Scarecrow-88 What does the Bermuda Triangle, the dark side of the moon, and the Lord of Darkness have in common? If you really want to know, seek out this little obscure sci-fi gem about a ship which begins to malfunction when it gets caught in some sort of gravitational pull. This certain section on the moon called Centrus B 40 is the location for which the Spacecore vessel seems to be heading. Spacecore is a ship with a crew whose job is to fix nuclear armed satellites. As the crew are heading towards the Centrus B 40, they encounter an older model NASA ship which seems to be operational. The malfunctions on the Spacecore have shut down the oxygen so the air is slowly leaving while cold air begins to exceed. This NASA ship just might be a savior for them in disguise. They discover that this ship has air that will provide them with oxygen so the airlock is necessary. Something, however, is on that ship{Discovery 18, to be exact}and it will awaken true terror. They find a dead man on board the Discovery ship named Gotier and there's a triangular hole around his stomach. Soon, the crew will discover what was buried within the Discovery vessel and the film really begins to grow bizarre. Will Bledsoe portrays Giles Stewart, the officer who uncovers unpleasant truths regarding where the Discovery actually comes from, not to mention the dead NASA flight officer. As Giles digs, the Spacecore begins to experience odd occurrences in system malfunctions and something sinister lies within Gotier's body..it will show that no one is safe from a force of evil that can only come from he who is the ultimate symbol of it. This film has a story that might induce laughter or eye-rolling, but if you are willing to give in and understand that this is an entertainment which is highly original and is willing to combine unusual elements into a cohesive whole. It takes several leaps in logic to provide eerie chills and the director is very good at creeping the viewer with those who appear from the dark. What lies within Gotier and how it effects everyone on board the Spacecore, not to mention what mysteries lie within the Discovery builds as the story continues. A good cast helps and the ending is quite a jaw dropper.
jjzzaahh I have seen this movie twice and although the actual plot could be deemed as a little far fetched, it really works.Basically, after a systems failure a ship gets trapped upon the darkside of the moon, where all kinds of weird goings on begin to take place as slowly the crew members are picked off one by one by an unseen assailant/assailants.The actual film idea itself is excellent and it really does use darkness in the film for the right reasons and as always, desolate space ships make excellent places for horror to hide round every unlit little corner. Add the fact that there is nowhere to run and the horrible feeling of claustrophobia and you have a gem of a move that is slick, doesn't seem over-produced and has a genius idea of a story running through its core.It is nice to see a film made to scare and not to shock.
