A revered bounty hunter's latest gig is rather satisfying, as his bail-skipper is his ex-wife, who has no intention of getting nabbed without a fight.

Reptileenbu Did you people see the same film I saw?
HotToastyRag The Bounty Hunter is the reason some people don't like romantic comedies. It stars two good-looking people (although Gerard Butler is in the midst of his grunge phase) to lure lots of people from their homes during opening weekend. Once seated in the movie theaters, it would be best for the audience to glaze over and focus on the eye candy rather than the plot.I know that sounded a little harsh, and when compared to other movies each of the stars has made, The Bounty Hunter really isn't that bad. It just isn't great, and given the box office appeal both Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston had at the time, I think everyone expected a little more from their first and only Hollywood pairing. They play ex-spouses, one of which is a bounty hunter and the other is, well, hunted. If you don't mind sitting through a pretty silly romantic comedy with just as little humor as there is romance, go ahead and rent it. It's not a movie you'll walk out of, but you'll probably shrug your shoulders at the end of it and sigh, "Oh well."
TonyMontana96 (Originally seen many years ago) The only film where I physically got out of my seat, ready to leave the cinema, but the credits thankfully arrived. Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler send out awful film's every year, but this is their absolute worst, they have no chemistry, the film is painfully unfunny and the acting, the story and the writing are utterly horrendous. The Bounty Hunter is among the worst film's I have ever seen. 0/10
alindsay-al I like Gerard butler, I like Jennifer aniston so I should have liked the bounty hunter. But boy this film is awful and really really hard to watch. The premise of this film sees a bounty hunter sent out to capture a felon and bring her to prison but it turns out to be his ex wife. Now as I said I like butler and he was the beat thing about this movie as he had a couple of funny moments. But his character was very one dimensional and you won't care about him because the film gives you absolutely no reason to care about him. Jeniffer aniston is the same, their chemistry is pretty good but her character has very few likable characteristics for you to like her. I am a fan of Jason sudekis but he did not have one funny moment in this film and I hope he isn't remembered for this performance. Also the villains have nothing to them and I'm not even sure they were necessary for this film. The story of this film is really bland, it is just a simple road trip film and you have seen everything here before. It provides nothing new and no excitement at all. The script is bad the comedy just doesn't hit. I don't remember laughing at anybody in this film. Also the dramatic moments are really forced in the film and you won't care about any of them. The style is as cliché as possible, it is your road trip film and it does nothing to make it interesting. Also the action scenes have absolutely nothing to them. Overall this is a terrible movie that should not be seen.
RobTheRedHead Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston stink to high Heaven in this seriously awful film.I got as far as them talking at Cupid's Cabin and by then I felt my life slipping away and had to turn it off or I would have started self-harming.The acting, direction, script, plot, in fact everything was s-h-i-t-e! Neither Aniston and Butler have on screen charisma and together it was a toxic mix.It was like watching a Film Making for Dummies 1-0-1. Predictable. Cliché.One of the worst films I have seen.
