Colibel Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
ShangLuda Admirable film.
TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
Aubrey Hackett While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
ismail-redhwani Weird movie and scary , I did not understand the meaning of the movie but I liked the action of this movie and horror of it
fisherkids I was so confused watching this movie. Nothing was explained and I still do not understand what was happening. Still do not understand what was the point of the movie at all. Made no sense, jumped around too much and the ending was stupid. Not even sure there was a reason this one even made it to production. I would have thrown the script away or rewrote it so that it made sense and was actually thrilling!
Wizard-8 I decided to give this movie a look since the description of it promised that it would be akin to something like the movie "Dog Soldiers", which was also made by British filmmakers. However, it did not take me long into watching it to make me wish that I rewatched "Dog Soldiers" instead. This is a really BAD movie. For one thing, the movie throughout refuses to give the viewers anywhere near a decent explanation as to what is going on with multiple plot points and the various characters. Sure, I can accept a little mystery, but not to the point where I don't even get the gist of what is going on. To make matters worse, the movie is really uninteresting. Most of the movie takes place in the title place, where the people inside constantly bicker and yell and go nowhere when it comes to trying to uncover what is happening. It doesn't help that the cast often speak in such thick accents that it's hard at times to figure out what they are saying. This movie is a pretentious mess, making you feel stupid while you are watching it for more than one reason.
vindalootiger Decent cinematography, confusing tension, and good photography in general for low budget. I liked the story, what little there was of it, despite the issues I have listed below. I found myself muttering "soldier the **** up" over and over through the movie. These were the ABSOLUTELY LOUDEST group of soldiers who were trying to remain incognito I have ever seen. What bugged me was that they could not act like real soldiers, the movie had a very rocky start. The movies military adviser should be fired (or at least demoted). There were so many problems, equipment appearing from field kits they did not have in the previous scene, firing at nothing with limited ammo supply's, and the list goes on. Then they left a soldier behind in favor of some non-combatant they had to carry? It finally seemed like the acting was getting better around the time that their squad leader (still don't know the ranks, but unimportant) chews them all out. He then ends his speech with the line "I would be better with a platoon of monkeys" which sums up the movie in many ways. The ending was pointless and lacked any credible substance or story. A little background in the beginning of the movie as to who they were, why they were there and what was the point of the hostages, would have been helpful in rounding out the story. By the way that is not how you hot wire a jeep...
