CommentsXp Best movie ever!
merklekranz This is not the type of movie that is easily explained, mainly because it is so bizarre and unpredictable. Character development is good, and the characters are interesting and colorful. "Sweet Killing" opens like an episode of "Columbo", but soon spirals way beyond a foolproof murder plan. It's nice to see Michael Ironside playing a cop for a change, and Anthony Higgins, F. Murray Abraham, and Leslie Hope all are quite good. There is at least a bunch of uncomfortable male groveling by Higgins, and an extra measure of bitchiness by Hope. Other than an abrupt and somewhat unsatisfying ending, "Sweet Killing" is totally acceptable entertainment. - MERK
whpratt1 Anthony Higgins,(Adam Crosse)," Deeply",2000, played an investment banker who makes a nice reasonable salary and a wife who drove him up the walls, you will have to see the picture to understand why I make this comment about his poor wife. Adam Crosse gets some ideas how he is going to deal with his wife and dreams up a great mystery. Michael Ironside,(Insp. Garcia),"On That Day",'05, plays a very dedicated police officer who loves to solve crimes and for some reason, breaths down the neck of Adam Crosse. Leslie Hope,(Eva Bishop),"The Fix",'05 plays a very sexy single gal who meets up with Adam Crosse when he comes knocking on her door and asks to use the telephone. When Adam and Eva meet, love making never stops, until Adam says," he is all worn out and cannot perform any longer"; very interesting Mystery Story and worth a view.
ccmiller1492 Henpecked husband (Higgins) devises an ingenious plot to rid himself of his large, loud overbearing wife without implicating himself. But instead of freeing him, the murder sets off a chain of weird events that cause his life to become a living hell of anxiety. A detective (ironically played by Ironside) is relentless in pursuing his suspicion that our winsome "hero" is guilty. The fictitious client "Zargo" (Abraham)literally moves in on him like a hallucination taking over his life, causing him to quarrel with his less than obliging new mistress (Bishop). Will any or all of these people drive him mad enough to confess? Viewers are sure to be drawn into this clever and unusual mystery concoction wondering what will happen to the desperate killer so engagingly played by Anthony (Corlan) Higgins with many surprises along the way.
vchimpanzee Adam is obsessed with comic books and fantasizes about killing his wife Louise in the ways comic book villains might have. Louise doesn't seem to care about anything except watching her classic comedies on TV--and I don't blame her. I probably would have enjoyed those too, even though we didn't get to see that much of what she liked so much.Meanwhile, a mysterious character named Zargo is obsessed with meeting Adam. In the process of trying to meet Zargo, he find's Eva's apartment, and a potential romance begins.I really liked Eva. I wasn't particularly impressed with murder Rube Goldberg style, but it could have been exciting in the right hands. Zargo was quite a character. The process of solving the murder was nothing really special but pretty good. It was an okay movie.
