Lightdeossk Captivating movie !
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
bombersflyup Stuck on You is the perfect comedy, with two of the best actors going around. It is light comedy, through its character moments and is full of heart. It is the case where if you don't invest in the characters, you can't possibly find it funny. The film is endearing while also putting you in stitches. The best example of that, is when May comes to see Bob and he and Walt hop in the car and proceed to keep up the facade of not revealing that they are conjoined and Bob's reluctance to advance the situation, while Walt tries to help him along. Wen Yann Shih gives a truly special performance embodying Bob's dream girl and is quite alluring in a sweet lovable way, Cher is good also. I'm not much for comedies, but this is my jam. The reason this film is poorly regarded by the masses, I don't know. They can watch a comic book film or "Star Wars" and accept that world and the characters in it, yet can't accept conjoined twins and their lives playing out in a humorous and stretched manner. Maybe they were just expecting some crude jokey movie and didn't want to care. All I know is I love it and that'll do fine and the "Summertime" song at the end is killer and is better than the original.
longcooljolie The Farelly brothers are pidgeon-holed for making gross-out comedies based on the strength of a few scenes of some of their most popular movies, such as "Dumb and Dumber" and "There's Something about Mary." When their 2003 movie "Stuck on You," arrived at cinemas people wrongly assumed that it would contain more of those types of shenanigans.Instead, the humor in "Stuck on You" is much more subtle and sweet-natured. The plot concerns the plight of conjoined twins Bob and Walt Tenor, who are portrayed by Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear, respectively. They earn their living by running a quickie burger place (which is even named "Quickee Burger") and by working so well together and being so efficient that they guarantee service in three minutes or less. The whole movie changes when Walt decides he wants to move to California and pursue his dream of becoming an actor. The Farellys wisely focus on the intimate problems the men face when both get girlfriends and the logistic problems created when Walt gets cast in a TV show opposite Cher. In fact, one reviewer called the movie a very odd romance.By the time the movie was made the Farellys had scored with about six other features and fans will catch glimpses of some of their stable characters in their other films such as the guy who played the taxi driver in "Shallow Hal" and another guy who played one of the exceptional people in "There's Something about Mary." The musical score of any Farelly movie is a treat, especially for back-end Baby Boomers who will recognize popular songs they heard on the radio during the endless summer days of their youth. This time it is "Alone Again, Naturally" from Gilbert O'Sullivan. One of the biggest delights of the movie is an unexpected and delightful cameo from Meryl Streep, which happens near the end. For those yet to see "Stuck on You," the less said about it, the better. See it for yourself! This, along with "Shallow Hal" are the Farelly's best feel-good comedies.
bkoganbing I have to say I approached watching Stuck On You with a bit of trepidation as I was wondering about how a pair of conjoined twin brothers would be a source for humor. It wasn't exactly a laugh riot, but it did have some humorous moments. In the small self contained community of Martha's Vineyard conjoined twins Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear have passed beyond the freak stage and are just part of the scenery, local celebrities in fact. They own a popular hash house. But Kinnear wants more than that, he wants to be an actor and does do local theater packing Damon around as it were.I won't go into how they get to Hollywood, that's half the humor this film has. But noted superstar Cher who is working an agenda of her own helps Kinnear along and he gets to be her co-star in a television series. And the conjoined twins become celebrities of sorts themselves. How does TV explain Damon's presence. Well that's the magic of special effects. But Damon longs for the hash house, he's a small town guy not at home in glitzy Hollywood. Why the guys never had the operation way back when is not explained. The most logical reason probably is they have no insurance coverage. That would be something that the American movie-going public could readily understand and embrace.Any reason to see Cher is to be taken and who could possibly play Cher other than Cher herself. Another performance to note is that of Seymour Cassel who plays super agent for Kinnear. No agent has ever had a client like Greg, but that's something that Cassel looks at as a challenge.Stuck On You is a mildly amusing comedy that should be pleasing to fans of the leads. But I would watch it for Cher and Seymour Cassel.
Desiree Stuck on You was a pretty funny idea but I just wasn't sure if they would be able to pull it off. Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to seeing this movie at all because I thought it was going to be dumb and full of stupid humor. I was so wrong. Never judge a book by its cover people. They really pulled this film off. I was pleasantly surprised. The jokes and puns were clever and original. I laughed throughout this entire movie.I was amazed at the team work between Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. They had great chemistry. I can't imagine the amount of practice it took to perfect the coordination to make this movie in one piece. There was a random, unexpected fight scene stuck in there. It was very impressive and unexpected for this type of movie. I really appreciated the contrast in background music as the fight was going on. The moves were very cool and funny but they made the intense fight far less intense which was a good thing because this is supposed to be a light comedy. They were successful at keeping the light feel of the movie even though asses were getting kicked.Matt Damon is an excellent actor. I always realize this when I see him play a variety of roles. He is quite talented. He is often known for his good looks and charm but he is able to play the innocent, cute dork too. I like that about him. He is always able to transform himself into the character he is playing. That is talent.Overall, I really enjoyed this film. I was surprised at how much I liked it. It was quite funny. It was perfect for a quiet night in with a friend and a big bag of popcorn.
