Scanialara You won't be disappointed!
Micransix Crappy film
Tymon Sutton The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Aryana Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Eric Stevenson I now realize what the previous "Stargate" movie was missing so much, Jack O'Neil! He was the most recognizable character from the series and I feel bad for not even remembering his name! Well, it has been literally years, probably more than a decade since I saw the actual show! This movie involves time travel and it's about as cool as it sounds. What I like is how everything isn't just resolved immediately. We actually get to see a year pass before the characters get everything back together. Okay, it's not a big part of the story, but it's quite nice. It's great to hear Jack's quips again. This movie is done quite realistically. It's not just the standard style of henchman being easy to kill. Well, that was at the end of the movie where they do whatever they want, but that's still fine. It felt more like a movie than a long episode of the TV show. I'm glad to see these characters again which makes me realize the brief fun I did have watching this show a long time ago. We get great music and everyone works quite hard to be relevant to the story. ***
fcabanski The stargate features prominently in this movie. That's as it should be.As with the first made for TV movie, this one carries a sense of mystery and wonder not seen in seasons 9 or 10 of SG-1.It's 8 rather than 10 because of a few problems. It's easy to kill off main characters, in slo mo no less, when everything will reset. The second problem is the cop out on having characters meet themselves. Key people are killed - Jack in a lame way - to ensure they don't meet themselves, while others are conveniently out of the way. Cheap! The final problem is a slow middle. When Cam, Sam and Daniel are forced into normal lives, without contact with each other, the movie slows to a crawl. It's as if the writers needed a little bit more, so they added useless padding. The movie continued the tradition of killing Ba'al. He dies multiple times.Watch it.
Dale Sexton After watching the disappointing 'The Ark of Truth', I was very pleased they got back to basics with this movie.Very interesting time travel story. Lots of time travel stories end with the big reset button at the end, it was nice to see some thought put into this one and see the characters have to work to set things right.Fitting end to Stargate SG-1. Great action, some very nice character moments and it was nice to see the "whole" gang represented. The most important line in this movie, that sets this story apart from so many other time-travel movies is from the retired GEN Landry: "But you don't have the right! If you were to succeed, events in the lives of thousands, if not millions of people, would never have happened! (angry) My goodness, people! The arrogance of what you're asking us to help you do is mind-boggling!" Just when you think he'll come in and let SG-1 "fix" everything, he shows up - believe's them and stops them dead in their tracks. Then we see them foil Ball's plan, despite the efforts of the ever devious Quetesh. This movie depicts the very essence of Stargate SG-1.9 out of 10 for me.
Joshua Warren Basicially this is what happens: Before his execution, one of Ba'als clones go back in time and sinks the boat that carried the Stargate to USA in 1939. Time thereby is changed and the team has to fix it, but is stopped by an alternate version of they're friends/colleagues who wants too keep everything the way it is. Meanwhile Ba'al has become supreme lord of the Goa'uld and plans to conquer earth. The movie is funny and entertaining, but like the majority of time travel films, it neither makes much sense and nothing of the story's events have actually ever happened when they "fix" everything in the end of the film. So it really is just a funny way to waste time.I'm a big fan of Stargate SG-1, but the film was very predictable and reminded me of a "back to the future" film. But I love the characters and the acting is great, so I still give it an 7.
