Panair do Brasil revives the story of the most important commercial aviation company in Brazil, between 1930 and 1965, with its commercial daring in establishing routes to the four corners of a continental country, taking the adventure of air transport to never-before imagined places, as well as the first international routes. Four decades after it closed its doors, it still retains a marked presence in the country's collective imagination for its pioneering spirit and stories of heroic deeds and for the bewilderment which was aroused by the facts surrounding its closure during the military regime.

Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Claudio Carvalho In 1965, during the military dictatorship of General Castello Branco, the greatest Brazilian commercial aviation company was abruptly forced to interrupt its activity after thirty-five years of flights and airborne of thousands of passengers internally in Brazil and internationally to South America, Europe, Africa and Middle East. Marco Altberg makes this documentary through interviews of former employees, members of the Panair family and personalities that lived the golden years of Panair, entwined with footages, commercials, pictures and news from those years. Further, there is footage of Elis Regina singing "Saudade dos Aviões da Panair".The truth about the destruction of Panair was the political persecution of the military dictatorship to the owners of Panair, Celso da Rocha Miranda and Mário Wallace Simonsen that was also the owner of TV Excelsior, and were opponents to the new government system. My vote is eight.Title (Brazil): "Panair do Brasil" ("Panair of the Brazil")
